Itinerary
Your tour will begin just in front of the entrance to the Duomo ticket office at Piazza di San Giovanni, where your guide will lead you passed the public lines and directly into the cathedral, thanks to our special no wait access. Upon entering the church, your guide will begin the story of this incredible feat of engineering that required a whole new process for its construction. Including how, after nearly 200 years of construction, architect Filippo Brunelleschi's innovative approach finally enabled its completion. In addition to learning the history of this magnificent structure, you will also view the beautiful details of its interior including elaborate marble floors, stained-glass windows, and beautiful frescos. Your tour will be capped off by the viewing of Vasari’s famous Last Judgement, which lines the incredible 375 ft high dome. After your thirty-minute guided tour you will have the option to remain and explore the Duomo at your leisure or continue out to the beautiful Piazza del Duomo.
The Brunelleschi Dome, part of the Florence Cathedral, is a crowning architectural achievement by Filippo Brunelleschi. Completed in the 15th century, it stands as an engineering marvel, showcasing a double-shell structure with an inner and outer dome. The red-tiled exterior harmonizes with the city's skyline. Climbing to the top will reward you with unparalleled panoramic views of Florence, making it a testament to Brunelleschi's innovative genius and a symbol of Renaissance ingenuity.
This tour also includes tickets to the nearby Museo della Misericordia. You can visit this jewel of a museum on your own to see its selection of Renaissance paintings and learn about the history of the ambulance corps that was founded to deal with the Black Death.

The tour was brief yet enjoyable, with the guide making the Duomo's story compelling. Time flew by quickly.
Very efficient and well organised. We were in the Cathedral before the doors opened which meant we could enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Excellent guide.
Great informative tour, enjoyed all of the information and some private access to other areas of the cathedral. Loved the skip the line, money well spent instead of queueing up in the sun. We climbed the dome and so glad we did. It was tough in spots but I’m 56 and have had a knee replacement and it was still ok to do. The view from the top is well worth it! Incredible!!
It was educational and fun. The guide was very interesting, and skipping the lines was just great. I also didnt realize we woukd get to go the the musem next door, another super interesting musem.
Great tour with a very informative guide. Well worth the money, a fantastic way to learn the history of the Duomo.
Easy to work with. Just the right amount of historical information followed by the climb. Exactly what we wanted.
Good guide (forgot her name). gave lots of details about the Duomo. And we climbed the Duomo. Great experience
This tour was nicely executed. We did however have a very hard time finding the meet up point. This could have been our fault, so that is not why I gave 4 our 5 stars. I just thought it was extremely quick. It started and before we knew it, it was over. Took make 35 minutes or so. Which for some may be just what you are looking for. It just kind of felt rushed to me. But in the end it was worth it and the Duomo was beautiful!
The guide was very knowledgeable and her English was excellent. It was a quick short tour which is just what we wanted.
The climb was great! The view was unbeatable. The information about the duomo was great. Definitely recommend!
