Itinerary
Your driver and tour leader will pick you up in a comfortable, air-conditioned transport in central Florence and drive you through the hills of Tuscany. You'll pass the best panoramic viewpoint of Florence and pause for pictures.
Indulge your imagination with a stop at San Gimignano, a town of such unique architectural beauty it has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll have free time to explore its winding streets on your own. Please note that the private option does not include a guided tour of San Gimignano. Guests will instead enjoy extended free time to explore the town at their own pace.
Walking the hills of Tuscan towns will make you hungry so your next stop is an authentic Italian family farm where some of our good friends will give you a behind-the-scenes tour of the vineyards, winery, and wine cellars before sitting you down for a sumptuous, all-inclusive lunch of local, seasonal ingredients. Your meal will be paired with Chianti wines specially selected to perfectly complement the flavors of each dish.
Siena is one of the best-preserved examples of medieval Italian architecture in the world. Spared German bombing in WWII, this time capsule of ancient, precarious-looking buildings is home to the Palio, one of the greatest and most dangerous horse races in the world.
One of the highlights your tour leader will recommend during your free time. Pause amidst the square where fervent horses race to win the honor of bringing home the palio - a handpainted silk banner of the highest regard.
If time allows, a visit to the Siena Cathedral, a Tuscan gem, during your free time won't disappoint!
At the end of the day, hop aboard your comfortable private coach bus back to Florence. We've taken care of the logistics so all you have to do is enjoy the food, the sights, and the scenery.

This was by far the best tour we had while in Italy. Our tour guide Marco kept us all engaged for the entire trip and gave us a wealth of information. He was informative and funny too. We had a wonderful time with our teenagers. Great shopping in San Gimignano and delicious gelato. The wine tasting and lunch was delicious and plentiful. After lunch we went to Siena which while beautiful is very hilly so that was harder than we expected on full bellies. Overall an incredible trip which was comfortable in an air conditioned Mercedes van. Loved this tour and Marco was a fabulous guide!
Our tour guide, Cristina M. was excellent. Lunch was delicious. This is worth the money. Broke up the chaos of Florence city area. Views are stunning. Having a driver drop you off is perfect. Great experience.!
Excellent day out sight seeing, exploring and learning of Tuscan history and wine making. Fab time had.
Very well organized tour. Lorenzo kept everyone engaged but also had a positive and energetic effect on the experience. He even memorized everyone’s name. Transportation was reliable and comfortable. A great experience for anyone looking to spend a day in Tuscany. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed our tour with Maria. She was knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. It was a great day. Our driver was excellent. We felt very safe.
Had a fantastic tour thank you to Monica and our driver. Everything was well arranged, and Monica did a terrific job explaining all of the sites and experiences. She was attentive to everyone’s questions and needs while also keeping us on schedule.
Money well-spent: driving and parking and drop-offs handled; expert, lively guide with humor (thank you, Francesco!); DELIGHTFUL lunch and winetasting at the vineyard, hosted by the winemaker; walkabouts in truly medieval cities. Tourist crowds in June are unavoidable, but it was very smart to get us to San Gimignano in the morning, before all the buses arrived. Photo ops everywhere - at all stops, some money-shot views of Tuscany! Will not soon forget the lovely winery experience.
What a fantastic day trip with Lorenzo, he is a great educated, informative professional guide with an excellent sense of humour. From the moment we met in the morning to get dropped off the evening Lorenzo went above and beyond to ensure everybody on the tour were comfortable and were having a great time, he also shared places to visit and dine etc as he is a true local to Florence. We highly recommend this tour with Lorenzo we had one of the best days in our Europe trip.
We had the best time with Anna! She was knowledgeable and thorough with her discussion points and gave us ample time to explore all our stops. The food and wine at our winery stop were incredible and worth the value of the tour on its own! We had a small group of 7, which made it very intimate and easy to get to know the other members of our group. If you love exploring small towns and wine, this is the tour for you!
We had a wonderful day with Christina as our guide and Marco as our driver. Christina has a wonderful personality and is full of information. We toured a bit of Florence, then onto San Gimignano, followed by lunch in the Chianti region of Tuscany. After a very good lunch, with wine, vinegar and olive oil tasting we headed to Sienna which is a beautiful place to visit! We enjoyed our day.
