Fethiye Scuba Diving Experience By A Local Expert

I booked the excursion with a transfer, but the organizer informed me the evening before that no transfer was possible and I was left with the costs, even though the excursion (from the same organizer) is also available without a transfer. Unfortunately, no one was willing to accommodate me, even after asking several times. I would recommend a different provider.

I was picked up on time at 9:00 a.m. Most of them didn't speak English, not even the numbers, even though I booked the course in English. More than 90% of the guests were Turkish. You feel excluded, you are clearly bullied and laughed at in Turkish, which I definitely didn't like. The boss on the boat, "an old man," was totally unfriendly and cheeky. The food was a chicken sandwich, I liked it. They separate people who have experience from people who are diving for the first time, so that's definitely a point. The first dive wasn't so good, with an incompetent diver in my opinion. The second dive was super good. The photos cost an extra 300 TL. The photos were OK. If you've dived in the Red Sea once, you won't like the place in Fethiye that much. The water was turquoise clear and wonderful, but there were no beautiful corals or special sea creatures.

I've been wanting to try scuba diving for so long and I'm so glad I signed us up for this introductory session. It gave me the chance to experience the beautiful underwater world we have access to and also let me realise that I'm more claustrophobic than I realised... So no more scuba for me, at least for now. My husband and son just fell more and more in love with it. Though they were more sceptical than me when I suggested we do this on our holiday. If you have no issues being surrounded by water or closed spaces (and even if you are), I'd highly suggest everyone try this at least once in their lives!

Mehmet helped me to book and it is a great tour except the ending time was delayed which affected our next schedule.

Had the most amazing time on this scuba diving experience. It was mine (and my friends) first time diving and the staff were really helpful - they briefed us really well and we had one to one support when diving. Mete was my instructor and he was great! The scuba diving also includes the boat trip and a delicious lunch. We also got a few extras - ice cream, snacks, photos/video of diving and we even had pancakes (would highly recommend these!!!). Would honestly say it’s been our favourite activity in Turkey, would recommend it to anyone who fancies it.
