I had a wonderful time in the Bahamas for my first solo trip, but a big highlight of my 4 days there was definitely Pig Island. I ended up having one of my roommates at my hostel come with me, and all I can say is it was an amazing experience. A bar is present on the island, so I got a DELICIOUS strawberry daiquiri; the pigs were very cute and friendly. There is an outlook to view the whole island/ocean and large floats in the water for jumping and/or tanning. My only complaints are that I wish I could have stayed longer and that there are mixed opinions on the treatment of the pigs. They are not free roam/wild like I originally thought.
Short and sweet. Bang for the buck. Beautiful locale. Staff super friendly. Pogs adorable. Efficient. Wife and I booked half day trip during our honeymoon. Recommend and will return.
This was an amazing trip. The pigs were so stinkin cute! The boat ride was not bad as I had expected, not choppy and very smooth. Affordable in comparison to the others around. Highly recommend!
Thank you :) Nothing makes us happier than bringing smiles to your faces!
No regrets! Me, my husband and my kids had a blast! Theyre obsessed with pigs and we just knew this was exactly what we wanted to do without throwing handfuls of money down and committing to too much time on an excursion. It was the perfect balance. The boat tour guide was friendly and fun. And each person that was a part of operating the experience on the island showed warm hospitality, gave clear instruction, and made sure each person got the experience they came for. Would do it again 100%
10/10 experience from start to finish. I booked this for my daughter’s 10th birthday and it ended up being so much more than I expected. I thought it was going to be a quick pig interaction and leave type of excursion, but there were so many activities included. My daughter got to jump on trampolines, kayak, paddle board, swim, and of course feed the pigs. The staff truly made this experience unforgettable. Miss Piggy, Pig Daddy, and Barbarian were all amazing and made my daughter feel so special on her birthday. Everyone on the island was patient, helpful, friendly, and genuinely seemed like they cared about us having a good time. They made sure my daughter had plenty to feed the pigs and explained everything clearly. The pigs were well trained, and following the staff’s instructions made the experience feel very safe and organized. The food was also AMAZING. We didn’t originally purchase the food package when booking, but ended up buying food on the island and it was absolutely worth it. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Overall, this was one of the best experiences of our Bahamas trip, and I would recommend it to absolutely anybody visiting. Such a fun, memorable, and well-run experience.
We appreciate the kind words and are especially happy that your daughter had a wonderful time! We strive to leave a positive impression, and the pig caretakers really love the animals and their craft! Hope the rest of your vacation was amazing and you all had a safe return home!
The pick up at port was easy to locate and went smoothly, the boat ride to the island was great. The pigs were well cared for and the island and its amenities were kept up. Would definitely book this again!
We love to hear that you had a great time! These islands and cays are just so beautiful!
Came to Nassau on a cruise ship trip! So happy got to see the piggies with such limited time! Staff was sweet and funny!
Aren’t they the cutest welcoming hosts?! Love to hear it!
Most definitely not fast track. We paid for the experience to be from 9:30-12:30, the description had a boat ride of 20 minutes to the island. The boat that we got on was an hour and 20 minutes until the island in which we did not arrive until 1045 and when we got there, they said that the earliest people would leave was 230 you can imagine how frustrating this was when we had a toddler that we specifically planned for.
Good Day. First of all, absolutely no where does it state that the tour is from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Second of all, in the personal morning message that we send to all guests, it clearly states that 9:30am tours return on the 1:30pm boat and 11:30am tours return on the 2:30pm boat. Your negligence in not reading provided and reiterated information is what led to your time mismanagement in regards to your child. We have done our part in providing the necessary tools. We appreciate feedback, but accurate feedback.
The tour felt very chaotic and rushed. If this is your bucket list then you’ll be disappointed. Maybe find a place with more pigs than people so you’ll actually be able to interact with them. You’re all gathered together on one part of the beach and they let the pigs out for you to feed but, it’s so chaotic with so many people you just don’t get that wow experience. There was so much beach to use too where you could get better pictures.
Good evening, The island is an 11 mile long private island, with different parcels of land owned separately and privately. The whole of the north side of shoreline is not open land, although our location is quite vast and unique. For cruise ships traveling during peak spring break season, it makes for a more full experience all around the islands. The tour has a lot to offer. Moreover, not only doest it offer some of the most competitive prices around, but its proximity to Nassau is ideal for those guests limited on time. As for bucket list? That opinion is highly subjective…However, that “bucket list”experience that I can only assume you are referring to as the Exumas…was also very much available. It’s an 8 hour long tour spanning $400-$450 per person, varying by operator. Many have enjoyed their excursion and consider it THEIR bucket list moment. Thank you!
This was a super fun experience. Definitely would do it again. Wish we had more time but the cruise ship was leaving.
