Come and experience our Portuguese night, where fado and Algarve tapas are involved where you will experience an explosion of tastes and feelings!! Immerse yourself in Algarve’s traditional with our set local cuisine and a live Fado performance. Starters: hot fresh bread with olive oil or toast in olive oil and garlic 1st Moment: crab pate served with mini toast 2nd Moment: skinned horse mackerel 3rd Moment: traditional algarvian cockle in corn porridge 4th Moment: roasted pork tenderloin with garlic, parsley, olive oil and lemon 5th Moment: prawn in bread porridge

Fado singer and guitar players were fabulous. Five star for entertainment and atmosphere. Another five star going to Luis and the other servers for their explanation of the courses and attention to detail. I’m giving the overall experience a four star as I feel it was over priced based on the scanty wine pours and small course portions.

The food, service, wine a and music was wonderful! We are not big seafood eaters, after looking at the unique menu we decided to give it a try. We enjoyed each course- very flavorful and filling ! The Fado was beautiful!

An intimate evening full of melancholy and passion. The fadista sang with such emotion that you could almost feel the saudade for yourself. The accompaniment on Portuguese guitar was subtle but impressive. The food perfectly matched the Mood: simple, authentic Portuguese dishes such as bacalhau and chouriço, with a good glass of vinho verde. In short: a warm, heartfelt evening where music, Mood and taste came together.

On arrival we were made very welcome by Eddie who met us and showed us round the restaurant. Diogo, the knowledgeable and passionate sommelier was wonderful, he explained the excellent food, as well as the wine pairings. All accompanied by a trio performing traditional Portuguese fado. The music is very moving and performed with passion. Overall a magnificent experience.

A very enjoyable evening with tapas, wine pairings, and music. Excellent service explaining details of every wine offered, as well as explanation of every dish served. This is not a "dinner show", but rather a restaurant with a small space for 3 musicians (including Portuguese guitar and vocalist) while food service is occurring all around. Even so, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening with delicious food and wine, and beautiful music as a backdrop.

We were warmly welcomed and invited to tour this BEAUTIFUL restaurant by "Joe" (be sure to look at the photos, tiles and fish tanks) and when we were seated he described our tapas evening: the wines, the food, the decor and the history. I wanted to take the cork placemats home! All the staff (lots) were friendly, observant and efficient. The Fado entertainment was wonderful and their performances were scheduled between our food courses so that we could fully enjoy it all. Our mother was using a wheelchair and they helped us with seating and at the end of our evening "Joe" took one of my mother's arms and helped us outside safely. It was the perfect ending to another wonderful trip to Portugal!

Fantastic night at Allgarbe!! First time and definitely not the last. Loved the Portuguese wine, very flavorful. The place was packed, and everyone appeared to enjoy it as much as my family and I did. The fado singer sang to us while we ate, her voice was so charming and touching. Loved every minute and looking forward to returning.
