Three young shepherds witnessed, in 1917, multiple apparitions of the Virgin Mary, marking the site's significance in religious history. Built on the exact spot where the Virgin Mary appeared to the children, the Chapel of the Apparitions is a place of reverence and prayer. The Sanctuary features the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary and the modernist Basilica of the Holy Trinity, both monumental structures reflecting architectural grandeur and spiritual sanctity.
After lunch, visit Batalha Monastery, a Flamboyant Gothic style monument, renowned for its intricate stonework, vaulted ceilings, and ornate chapels. A masterpiece of Manueline architecture, these chapels were intended as royal mausoleums but remained unfinished, showcasing intricate carvings and symbolism. The monastery's cloisters offer serene gardens and cloistered walkways, providing a peaceful retreat for contemplation and reflection. Batalha Monastery was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983, recognizing its architectural and historical significance. On Mondays, when Batalha Monastery is closed, we offer an alternative excursion to Valinhos and Loca do Anjo, both significant sites associated with the Three Little Shepherds of Fátima. This tour provides a deeper insight into the spiritual and historical context of the Fátima apparitions.

Visitors can explore the Chapel of Valinhos and follow the Stations of the Cross, reflecting on the events that preceded the Fátima apparitions. Ich war mit meine Familie und das tour war supper! Unsere Fremdenführer Daniel war sehr gut. Er weiß viel über die Geschichte von Fatima. <p>This tour was OK. My wife and I wanted a quick visit to Fatima because we did not had too much time in Lisbon, so this was a good alternative. However it is more like renting a driver to take you to the locations. Not much information provided by the guide other than the basics. The driver was very friendly and a great guy and he did his best effort but we had a bit of communication problems because of language barriers we asked for Spanish guide and his proficiency was not high. Locations are very beautiful and interesting, specially if you are a devoted Catholic.</p>
My family and I (4 people) took the tour with Daniel Bastos, who was an excellent and pleasant guide. Despite not speaking 100% Spanish, he managed to convey all his ideas and gave us an educational trip, joyful and full of history about Lisbon and Fatima. I recommend the tour for families or friends composed of 8 people to take advantage of the prices. It was quite comfortable that they went for you in your lodging and returned you in the same, so it is very worth it. The guide is accessible to drawbacks like going for snacks or bathing, which is pretty good! The tour was from 9 to 14, with 1:30h on the way to Fatima. Thank you so much!

<p>Fantastic tour! Eduardo was a perfect gentleman and gave us a lot of information about the Sanctuary and its history. I never thought Fatima was such a beautiful place! We also had the opportunity to visit the three little shepherds residences and the surroundings. We enjoyed so much the experience! The best!</p>
