It is a place most Popes come to visit during their reigns. We highly recommend making this trip between March-October and enjoy the famous Fátima Candle Procession. The Sanctuary of Fatima is a place of devotion on a prodigious scale, a pilgrimage destination and a sacred enclosure. The secrets of Fátima and the "miracle of the sun" are one of the attractions of religious tourism.
The crown of the Virgin guards the bullet that was extracted from Pope John . Paul II in 1981. To the east of the sanctuary, the children's houses have been preserved and are known as the Little Shepherds' Houses.
The small village of Aljustrel was the birthplace of the three little shepherds. The house of the brothers Francisco and Jacinta can be visited, as well as Lúcia's house, which has been converted into a museum depicting the local way of life at the beginning of the 20th century. Starting from Aljustrel, you can walk the Via Crucis of Valinhos. This was the path that Lucia, Jacinto and Francisco took from Aljustrel to the Cova da Iria.

Filipe was exceptional! He was friendly, knowledgeable and flexible with our needs. He looked for opportunities to bring us to places with beautiful views we were not expecting. We had a great time. Our apologies to our tour guide so much happened since we took the tour at the very end of May that we forgot his name. He was wonderful, showed us more than we expected or even knew before we went. Even though he did most of his tours in Lisbon, he was very knowledgeable about the area. He also waited for us as we tried to do everything we could. Fatima is great. Everyone we spoke to whether in town, the Basilica or shopping or just in general was very warm and inviting. My wife and I highly recommend going to Fatima and recommend you spend more time than just a two hour bus tour gives you. So much so that we want to go back because even though we were there all day, we felt we could have done so much more.

We had a great time with Angela. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour itself was exactly what we had hoped for: private driver to Fatima, where we spent hours exploring the Our Lady of Fatima sanctuary and the surrounding area, followed by a couple more stops of significance on the way back to Lisbon.

My mom and I took a tour with guide Susana to Fatima on June 13 where there was an outdoor service occurring as we arrived. The outdoor service and the time at Fatima will take your breath away and give you tears. My mom who is a devout Catholic loved the personal touches, history, stories, and kindness Susana gave us while we were guided throughout Fatima. We did a personal tour for those personal touches as well as the ability to customize it. Susana understood what we were asking for and gave us a wonderful and special experience. She was very thoughtful and gave us a special keepsake at the end that was very generous. I Could not asked for a better and thoughtful guide that led us through Fatima. The Fatima trip was fantastic! Mr. Rui is the best driver and tour guide. He gave us the history of all the landmarks we passed by on the way to the Fatima. We had a lot of free time to check out the place.
