This was a great tour. Fabulous guide and driver. Very flexible. Very knowledgeable. We had a great day seeing exactly what we wanted and had terrific memorable experiences.
Appreciated care & conern for preparing & providing what we wanted. They adapted both prior & during tour. Great tour & responsiveness We had wanted one highly written mansion & they recommended another & we are very thankful. The one they emended far exceeded the one we had read about..
A full on informative 6 hours We saw everything worth seeing and there is no way we could have done it without Tan’s expert guiding.
Ooi, gave us an experience to remember. He walked us around the old town pointing out how and why the British colonized the area. He showed us the different religion temples/churches and how they affect the modern city of Penang. He let us experience the diverse street foods and how the divers culture embraces each other’s tastes. And finally he walked us around the area known for its street art explaining why and what the artist trying to convey. Overall it was just what we were looking for, a time to remember.
As cruise passengers, we had limited time on shore and didn't want to risk a big group bus tour. This private tour service was a lifesaver. We booked the 4-hour slot, and the team was incredibly professional, picking us up promptly and maximizing every minute we had. Because it was customizable, we skipped the tourist traps we weren't interested in and went straight for the street art and the food! The driver knew all the shortcuts to avoid traffic, and our guide made sure we were back with plenty of time to spare. Our guide, Jane, was very knowledgeable and we particularly enjoyed the background she provided regarding Khoo Clan house and the mansion. Because we were interested in the street food, she took us to a very interesting food museum and then we went to the food market to sample the food. It was efficient, educational, and absolutely delicious. Don't hesitate to book this if you are on a tight schedule!
Kevin brought the city to life with his passion, enthusiasm and every detail of the tour. It was like visiting his home and showing off all its beauty You didn't want to leave him or the city!.
Thank you Andrew! We're glad you enjoyed the tour!
Mr Tan was an excellent guide with great communication skills who showed us many different aspects of the lovely city of Penang and was extremely knowledgeable. We had an absolutely lovely day, thank you!!
Thank you for the lovely feedback! We're so glad you enjoyed the tour.
This was not a tour. We had a driver take us to 2 locations for a 4 hour tour. The only words uttered by him were "make sure you get back to the car by a particular time." I cant get my time back; but hoping I can get my money back.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the experience didn’t meet your expectations. Please note that the package you booked was a driver-only service, without a tour guide. This option is designed for guests who prefer flexibility without commentary, and it’s stated in the tour description. We appreciate your input and will work on making this clearer. If you'd like to discuss further, feel free to reach out to us directly.
Super chill way to explore Penang. Laid-back and worth it if you want something flexible and personal. Would definitely recommend this tour!
We had a great time exploring Penang with our guide, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and really listened to what we wanted to see. The day was well-planned and flexible, with just one small hiccup around the timing of the lunch stop—but overall, it was a fantastic way to get a feel for the island and its culture. Highly recommended, just make sure to confirm lunch plans in advance!
