Had an opportunity to walk through the factory with a delightful guide and observe the tea process. We were able to sample teas and learn the differences in silver, white, and green, and black tea. They have a large store and they take the time to really explain the tea. We did purchase silver leaf tea from them but also found it at local groceries and brought sereral containers home for gifts.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the factory tour and learning about the different teas, as well as tasting and shopping for your favorites. It’s wonderful that you could take a piece of Sri Lanka home with you!
Deva was excellent and extremely helpful! His sense of humour was laugh out loud funny and it made the whole afternoon fly by, so thank you. The communication from the company was also very good and everyone's English was excellent!! The tea tasting was cool but the tea in the factory shop was super expensive so we didn't buy any.

Regarding the tea tasting experience, we're pleased that you found it enjoyable. However, we're sorry to hear that you found the prices of the tea in the factory shop to be higher than expected. We'll certainly take your feedback into consideration as we continue to refine our offerings to provide the best value for our guests. Once again, thank you for choosing ASY Tours for your adventure, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future!
The communication with Asky was good and he made genuine efforts to help and accommodate. The price was good for the activities and length. Where it lacked substance was with the nature of the activities themselves. Our driver was great but spoke very few words of English. The activities : The first view of the waterfall involved going through a hotel followed by a walk down some narrow dodgy steps. No real problem there. What we were not prepared for was a hike in the forest out to the second viewpoint of the waterfall. The terrain is hazardous and it is recommended to wear decent footwear. You can also expect to go up several steps (several hundreds) that are all dodgiest from one to the next. That will take you between 20 to 30 minutes. It is an amazing looking site once you get there The tea factory tours were good but I would recommend doing them on weekdays when the factory is actually running. Moreover, if you have seen one factory, you don’t need to see two. They are similar. Pick which one you would rather see most. Don’t expect to visit the plantation themselves.
