Very helpful and friendly young lads. The cycle was beautiful with lovely little benches and a coffee dock along the way which was needed with 2 smallies!!
Thanks so much for your lovely review! We’re glad our team could help and that you enjoyed the cycle — those little stops along the way do make all the difference, especially with little ones! We hope to see you and the family again soon for another great cycle!
I had a disappointing experience with this bike rental service initially — a mix-up that left me waiting around with no immediate solution and feeling pretty frustrated. But what stood out more than the mistake itself was how they handled it afterward. After leaving my review, the team reached out with genuine concern. They didn’t make excuses — they acknowledged the issue directly and took full accountability, showing a level of professionalism that’s rare these days. More importantly, they went above and beyond to resolve the situation, and their response was gracious, sincere, and greatly appreciated. Mistakes happen in any business — what matters is how you respond, and in this case, they truly turned things around. It’s clear they value their customers and take feedback seriously. I walked away impressed, and I wouldn’t hesitate to give them another chance based on how well they handled things. Fair play to them.
Thank you so much for your honest and gracious review. We’re truly sorry again for the mix-up at the start of your experience — we know how frustrating that must have been, and we really appreciate you giving us the opportunity to make things right. It means a great deal to us that you recognised the effort we put into responding and resolving the issue. We take all feedback seriously and always aim to learn and improve from it. Your understanding and fairness say a lot, and we’re genuinely grateful for your willingness to give us another chance. Thanks again — we’d be very happy to welcome you back anytime.
We loved riding the green way and seeing the views along the water. It was a bit complicated to get there. We purchased a train ticket and rode to Cork which is the end of the line. Once there, we used google map to walk the 25 minutes. However, there were some concerns about whether we were actually going to arrive somewhere, as we were walking through industrial areas and it looked like a dead end. Once arrived, the place was wonderful. Very cool outdoor market with lots of “food carts “! The young man at the bike place was fantastic…very friendly and personable 🤗
We went to cork to watch Scotland play in home nations masters hockey. The hockey was based in different sites across cork and we also may have needed the bikes picked up at one of the venues on day 2 as we intended getting over to Cobn for the evening. I chose cork bike hire after reading previous reviews praising their customer service as I knew I may need some support with logistics and some local info that might help our planning and the routes we would take. They did not disappoint and went over and above to make sure we got the best out of our time. On the phone I spoke with Fiona a few times the day before we arrived and she suggested how we get from the venue at Garyduff to a ferry that would take us to Cobn and that she could get the bikes picked up there on day 2. We dealt with Oliviae in the shop who explained the greenway route route that took us from cork centre down to Garyduff. This was mainly a route set up for cyclists and pedestrians within the trees away from the busy roads - it was perfect - with a bit road biking to get to sports centre. We could then pick up the greenway again to head further sound right down to the wee car and pedestrian ferry to take us a 5 minute trip over the water for 2 euros and landing 2km outside Cobn where we were met by Donald who took the bikes back to cork. Absolutely recommend cork cycle hire and would suggest people are not put off with there location a walk along the quayside as they have a space within a very happening and busy market place which also sits right on the greenway. First class!
Thank you so much for your kind and detailed review! We're really glad you chose us and that we could help make your time in Cork such a smooth and enjoyable experience. It was a pleasure assisting with your logistics and planning. Delighted to hear everything worked out, and we hope you had a fantastic time exploring both Cork and Cobh! We’d love to welcome you back for another adventure in the future!
Great choices of bicycles to fit all sizes. Beautiful routes, suitable for all levels of riding capabilities. Olivier was very helpful and encouraged us to explore as far as we could and told us about rest stops along the way.
