Welcome to the beating heart of Cologne! Here, past and present dance together among bustling cafés, historic bars, and buildings that could spill a thousand stories. This square has witnessed festivals and markets for centuries—if only these walls could talk, we’d have some juicy gossip!
Meet Cologne’s local celebrities: Tünnes and Schäl, two beloved characters with their own statues. They perfectly capture the city’s cheeky humor and lively spirit. Get ready to laugh and see why these two are the soul of Cologne’s fun side!
Prepare to be wowed by this massive Romanesque church that looks like it stepped out of a medieval fairy tale. Its four towering spires watch over the city like silent guardians, and the peaceful vibe inside offers a perfect break from your urban adventure.
Who said fountains can’t be art? Tierbrunnen not only refreshes the air but is a sculptural celebration of local wildlife with serious style. It’s a perfect spot to pause, snap a photo, and maybe drop a philosophical line or two.
If squares could talk, this one would tell the most stories. The Old Market is a colorful mosaic of historic houses, tempting local aromas, and laughter on every corner. Here, history comes alive—and invites you to be part of the story.
Want to uncover Cologne’s deepest secrets? This historical archive is the vault holding treasures of time: documents, photos, and tales transporting you from ancient Rome to today. A must-visit for the curious at heart.
Time travel guaranteed! This piece of Roman sewer is proof that ancient folks had more smarts than many today. While we’re busy making memes, they were engineering super-advanced systems... Rome wasn’t built in a day, but their sewers sure were a masterpiece!
Modern art, anyone? Museum Ludwig is where great geniuses like Picasso, Warhol, and Lichtenstein await to show you that art knows no limits. Get ready to be inspired, puzzled, and amazed—all in one visit.
And to top it all off: the majestic Cologne Cathedral. More than a church, it’s a Gothic giant that leaves everyone breathless. Its stained glass tells stories in colors, and if you dare climb its towers, you’ll get a view that makes you feel on top of the world. No wonder it’s a UNESCO World Heritage site and Cologne’s pride.

Disappointed to say the least. Long story short, I booked this tour from Australia and mistakenly made an error and booked it for the 25th of April instead of the 25th of May. The tour guide contacted me in Australia last month and I realised my error and sent her a message totally owning my mistake, I understood a refund was not applicable but requested if there was any chance we could transfer it to today the 25th of May. She said she was just the tour guide but she’d inform her bosses. I sent not one but 3 messsges since via the Viator message link with no reply also resorting to messaging the tour guide when we arrived in Cologne last night. No one has responded even if it had been I’m sorry but we can’t transfer, I think I would not of bothered to write this review. As I’m sitting here today in Cologne I can’t help thinking what we might of missed out on, poor form for zero communication, would not recommend on that alone, 0 stars
We regret the inconvenience and understand the frustration caused by the situation. However, we believe it is important to clarify that the tour did not take place due to an error in the selected booking date, as it corresponded to a period when you were not yet in the country. Additionally, date change requests for bookings made through Viator must be handled directly with the platform, as we, as the tour provider, do not have access to modify dates or approve changes. We respect all opinions, although we believe it is important to clarify that the service was never carried out.
