The Ancient City is dubbed as the world's largest outdoor museum. Close to the Crocodile Farm in Samut Prakan Province, the 320-hectare "city" features 116 structures of Thailand's famous monuments and architectural attractions. The grounds of Ancient Siam correspond roughly to the shape of the kingdom, with the monuments lying at their correct places geographically. Some of the buildings are life-size replicas of existing or former sites, while others are scaled down. Still others are "creative designs," and not replicas of any historical structure. The replicas were constructed with the assistance of experts from the National Museum to ensure historical accuracy.

Open air museum

Interesting open museum. Definitely worth to rent a golf cart or E-bike as the distances are really big, especially in the heat

Great day out in Bangkok

Excellent open air museum, packed with a stunning display of temples and culturally significant Thai architecture set amongst beautifully kept gardens. We cycled around for hours taking pictures but you can hire a golf cart or electric bike too if that’s more to your liking. Thai cultural shows and lots of cafes, restaurants on site and cultural wares and souvenirs to purchase. All reasonably priced. Must do if you come to Bangkok. It was awesome
