Informative tour, Luca has great knowledge, experience & charm. Wonderful to learn about the authentic arts & crafts in the area. A bit on the pricey side though for 5 ppls but we enjoyed it.
Luca is a first class guide and we enjoyed our tour very much. Luca is passionate about Takayama and its vibrant craft and art scene. Henry time to explain many of the local crafts to us, as well as the local history. He recommended Coffee Dom Tony’s and we went there 3 times - delicious coffee and food.
This was perfect for a small family who only had a day in Takayama town. Luca spoke perfect English and Japanese, and he navigated us through the morning market and some key parts of the sanmachi suji, with historical commentary. Such a rich history! We bought some sake and ate some street food, and got a small taste of this beautiful town. The hour went so quickly, we could have spent at least another 2-3 hours with him. Luca, grazie mille! Highly recommended.
Luca was a knowledgeable and amusing host for this walk around the historic market area of Takayama. Coming from an Italian background, Luca was both charming and amusing, but not being Japanese born, he brings an outsider’s perspective which is sometimes more discerning. His responses to our questions were full and informative so he really knows his stuff. We can fully recommend Luca as a helpful precursor to your own deeper dive into the rich history and culture of this amazing place.
Hi Tim thank you for such kind review. I really appreciate your kindness and I had a wonderful time with you all. Luca
