The tour itself was great but i was dropped off at a different location and had to pay separately to get back to my hotel. Also had to pay extra 300000 vd for holiday rate(?????) after I booked the tour. Why not include all charges before finalizing the booking? Felt like a scam
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry for the confusion regarding the pick-up option and the holiday surcharge. These details are normally shown during the booking process, but we understand how this could be frustrating. We’re glad to hear that you still enjoyed the tour itself, and we truly appreciate your comments as they help us improve our service.
Hello, I want to leave a customer review following a booked excursion on your platform The excursion was offered at €54 with English-speaking guide. I voluntarily chose the French-speaking guide option, increasing the price to €174, an amount I accepted and paid without reservation. The day before departure, I was informed by SMS that an extra €50 in cash was to be given to the French-speaking guide the same day. This information is included in the conditions, but it is presented in a insufficiently visible way, not allowing clear and transparent information when booking. I would point out that this information, had it been clearly announced at the outset, would not have changed my choice. On the other hand, this process seems misleading to me and damages the trust placed in your platform. As a result, I will no longer make any reservations via Viator
I had much bigger expectations about visiting the rural Mekong. Until we get to the river, we hardly see a rice field, only a few. it was more like going through a suburb of Saigon. The Budist temple was really worthy. Once we got to the island in the Mekong, with few exceptions, every body was trying to sell us something. It was a bit too much. I did not like either that we had to pay an extra 300,000 dongs to help the local people becuase they were poor. They are not poor. My son lives in Cambodia and knows what poor means. It sounded to me like a small scam, to take advantage of the tourists. I do not mind to pay it, but they should inform us in advance, not in the middle of the day. We have a nice day, but we won't do it again. I got the feeling that we were just a group of turist to be miked as much as possible and I did not like that feeling and most importanly I think we missed the real Delta. The guide person, I think his name was Tom, was really nice and always happy to help. He did a good job. The canoe tour was also really nice.
Exploring the Mekong Delta was both peaceful and fascinating. The tour took us along tranquil canals surrounded by coconut trees, where we could see local life up close. We visited small villages, tasted fresh tropical fruits, and enjoyed a traditional lunch by the river. The boat ride was calm and soothing, and I loved hearing our guide’s stories about the culture and daily life of the people here. It felt like stepping into a completely different world, far away from the noise of the city.
The visit allows you to know, in broad outlines, the way of life of this part of the country. Our Spanish speaking guide, Dan, is a wonderful person. He is friendly, funny, expresses himself quite well and knows very well the places that are visited. In addition, we were very surprised by the knowledge he has of the culture and way of life of Spain. Finally, highlight the Quality of food offered by this tour, with a wide variety of traditional dishes from the area.
Very attentive and interesting guide. Very hearty and delicious meals. (fried fish, fried chicken, gambas glutinous coconut rice.) Very pleasant boat ride. I recommend you.
