Evora and Monsaraz Wine Tasting Private Tour

What an incredible day, our guide was extremely knowledgeable in history & his delivery was perfect. I would definitely recommend this trip to all, it was a full day of sightseeing, history and excellent conversation with a splash of wine tasting to top it off.

Our guide, Nuno Goncalves, was excellent and brimming with pertinent historical and current information. We were just 2 and very much enjoyed our time at important sites in Evora, the views and lunch in Monsaraz, and our wine tasting at Ervideira. All very pleasant and informative and we can't imagine a better guide!

I had a wonderful time on this tour. Évora and Monsaraz are beautiful. My tour guide was Lourenço. He is very impressionable and knowledgeable. My wine tasting was at Ervideira Winery. The wines were fantastic and Lourenço offered his opinion regarding the best wines at the winery. In Evora, The Chapel of Bones was hauntingly beautiful. Lourenço being a history buff shared a lot of information about the Chapel, and the town of Evora. I highly recommend taking this tour with him!

This was a great experience. We left the beaten path of the city and explored beautiful towns south and east of Lisbon. The scenery was amazing, and the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Joao was a wonderfully informative guide. The sites were beautiful and the wine tour was amazing. Some of the best white wine I've had. My family really enjoyed this experience.

Both Evora and Monsaraz are well worth the visit; Monsaraz is an extraordinarily beautiful location and offers (on a clear day, as we had) exceptional views over the landscape and the massive lake). The architecture is historic and the town itself unspoiled and charming. We benefited from being there during the low season with few tourists around. Apparently, the summer weather can be brutally hot, but for our visit it was mild and sunny. Our driver/guide Joao was very knowledgeable, read our interests very well and adapted easily to our preferences and timetable. He made our visit very enjoyable and memorable.

Our group of five friends had a private tour of Evora and Monsaraz, along with a stop at a cork factory, with João. João was amazing as a guide. His knowledge and passion for his work were clear. He adapted as we went on the trip to make sure we had the best experience. We recommend everyone go to Monsaraz, a beautiful hillltop village. We totally enjoyed our time with João.

Joãn, our guide, is very knowledgeable and open to share what he knows and thinks. Although it’s a long day trip (and I’m sorry we kept him a bit late today as we had some credit card issues at the wine tasting place and our lunch came late), neither did my husband nor did I would like to fall asleep along the way. The sceneries on both sides of the highway cutting across the country are really beautiful. João was also kind enough to take us through the new bridge on the way back to Lisboa. The trip was super exclusive, only my husband and me! Lucky! I would highly recommend this trip to my friends and family.

Philippe was absolutely amazing. He took such good care of us. Going above and beyond even securing us dinner reservations! His historical knowledge is really incredible. Our day was nothing short of amazing. We even booked an additional day with him!!

We had four days of private tours with Joao. Lisbon city, Sintra and Obedo, Evora and Monsaraz, Fatima, Nazare. The itinerary was very good, and when there was something else we wished to focus on it was never a problem for Joao to make the necessary alteration to the itinerary.
