Itinerary

300 min

We will track animals at the surroundings of Stockholm's national forest. Starting from our office at 18.00 and out until 22.00, earlier in winter time. We will have plenty of time to get the chance to see Swedish iconic wildlife, make a fire and enjoy a nice dinner cooked on wooden fire. We will start by minivan through an area where we can see if any animal is awaiting for us. We’ll continue walking in the forest, around a lake where we know that there’s a great animal activity. During the tour we will have time to talk about the different animals one can encounter in Sweden while in nature, their behaviour, their habits, what they eat, how and where to spot them and much more. Bring your questions along. We will have a break for a dinner before scouting the forest again.

A moment out of time

It was a wonderful experience, a true moment out of time. We were able to walk in the forest (about an hour of quite reasonable walking) while our guide provided us with information about the surrounding wildlife and flora. We enjoyed a small campfire by a lake where our guide showed us how to make a fire and where we all shared a nice meal together. But above all, our guide led us on the roads to observe the animals, and we were truly spoiled!!! We first saw many deer, some close and some far away. We also saw some running to cross the road right in front of us. We also observed a few birds, as well as wild boars and their young. A truly adorable moment. And when we thought the evening was coming to an end, our guide decided to explore a few more paths, and we saw it! The famous moose! It was a truly magical moment, a wonderful way to end the evening. As if everything had been scripted to lead us to that moment. A big thank you to our guide who, until the dark of night, continued to travel the roads in hopes of helping us observe as many animals as possible. We must not forget that nature does what it wants. It is therefore never guaranteed to see so many animals. We feel very lucky for this moment :)

Animal observation is a...

Animal watching is a matter of luck and not guaranteed. We were lucky and could see some animals. The tour is certainly cooler in the summer. It was raining and it was cold and early dark. You get to feel nature about.

Operator response

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, Tier! 🌿 You're absolutely right — wildlife sightings are always a matter of luck, and we’re glad to hear you were able to spot some animals during your tour. Summer definitely offers longer daylight and warmer weather, but we also appreciate you embracing the colder, darker conditions; they provide a very authentic taste of Swedish nature. We’re happy you still enjoyed the experience despite the rain, and we hope to welcome you back in a different season for a completely new perspective. Thanks again for joining our tour and for taking the time to leave a review!

Amazing experience

We had an amazing wildlife safari near Stockholm! Our guide was fantastic – very knowledgeable and engaging, always explaining about the plants and animals around us and even showing us what’s edible in the woods. The short hike uphill rewarded us with a beautiful view, and he always made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe throughout the trip. His positive energy and great spirit made the experience even more enjoyable. We were lucky to see wild boar, deer, and even moose with a calf – truly unforgettable!

A really unique experience

The only reason I docked a star from this review is that we didn't see a whole lot of wildlife (some birds, deer) -- which is the nature of an experience like this; I just literally enjoyed it a little less for that reason. However, the tour and guide were fantastic. We got to the park and had a beautiful hike, foraging mushrooms and berries. The hike itself could be a bit difficult for some, so if you have any issues getting around, it might be an issue. However, it was beautiful and not something we could have done on our own. Then we went to the water and had a delicious dinner by the Baltic -- 5/5 for that portion. Afterwards towards dusk, we went around looking for wildlife, and we saw some, but not a whole lot, and not much variety, either. Just luck of the draw. The guide was very friendly, remembered our names, and clearly very knowledgeable about the outdoors and the area. He knew where to go, the best timing for everything, and how to hurry people along without being demeaning or rushing us too much. A really calming presence, too. I really enjoyed talking to him. If I could rate this a 4.5/5, I would. A really unique experience not far out of Stockholm, but felt lightyears away. Thanks for the tour!

Awesome family adventure!

My family enjoyed an amazing evening adventure with Daniel! Daniel made it so fun for our kids (age 8 and 10) We saw too many deer to counts, a moose and some beaver ruins. We had a nice hike and fun fireside meal. So amazing to be outdoors in this beautiful country! Highly recommend!

Adventure and wildlife viewing

Marcus led our group on a fantastic tour of nature and wildlife viewing. The hike was customized to the ability of the group and the promise of adventure was definitely delivered! Marcus helped us (literally!) blaze a new trail for stunning views of the inlet, all while teaching us about the plants we were walking through. We even got to try some of the berries! The dinner was delicious and after a brief introduction, the group was able to start the fire that we cooked on. The wildlife viewing was great, and we got to see deer, a hare, and wild boars. The group dynamic was excellent and Marcus was such a knowledgeable and fun guide. I highly recommend both the tour and the guide!!
