Evening Spanish Tapas Cooking Class with Live Guitar Music

Description
This is a warm, hands-on cooking experience that brings you straight into the heart of Alicante’s food culture. You'll cook a full tapas menu in a real, lively kitchen — not a staged set, but a working space where locals eat every day. Led by a local chef and a friendly host, you’ll use fresh, top-quality ingredients from the Central Market to prepare authentic Spanish tapas while learning the techniques, stories, and traditions behind each dish. It’s not just about recipes — it’s about connecting through food. You’ll cook, learn, and share the experience with others in a relaxed, local setting. The menu is plentiful and packed with flavour, but what stays with you is the atmosphere — real, honest, and uniquely Alicante. To finish the evening, enjoy live Spanish guitar music that adds the perfect touch of Mediterranean soul to your meal — a moment that makes this experience truly unforgettable.

Great experience! Well organized, very good atmosphere, the chef was very pedagogue, to do again for a paella
This cooking class could have been better. There was not enough food for the number of people in the class, and we really all only learned to make one dish, Spanish tortillas. The rest of the dishes — including sliced chorizo in sauce, fried bread for dessert and stuffed dates — required very little cooking at all. Some people in the class didn’t get any dates and our group didn’t get any chorizo, despite the fact that a couple of folks don’t eat pork so that should have freed up food for others. Overall a bit of a disappointment, especially for the money.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the experience did not fully meet your expectations. Our workshop is designed to prepare 6 traditional Spanish tapas in 1.5 hours, followed by time to enjoy the food together. Some dishes, such as the Spanish tortilla, involve more cooking techniques, while others are intentionally simpler, authentic recipes that guests can easily recreate at home. However, we truly appreciate your comments and will review the balance of the class and menu variety for future workshops. We are especially sorry to hear that some guests felt there was not enough food or that certain dishes were missed. We always prepare portions based on the group size, so we regret that this was your experience and will look into how we can improve the service and distribution during busy sessions. Thank you again for your honest feedback — it helps us continue improving the experience for future guests.
This was an excellent evening. The tapas was a selection from different areas of Spain. The food was exceptional. Would defiantly do another one of these. We did pay for two drinks but only received one.
Hi Ruth, we are very glad that you enjoyed the workshop. Thank you for your review! We are also very sorry to hear about the drink, I am not sure how that could happen, the guide always asks the customers. Did you order the second drink or ask for it? I hope it didn´t spoil your experience.
The cooking class was fantastic! It was my first cooking class, alone and in a foreign country. I was warmly welcomed and introduced to the other participants. It was a harmonious one with each other. The course taught me many tips and tricks. Through him I got to know a wide variety of tapas in the preparation and taste. I also liked the live music very much. Thank you for the good evening!
We had a very nice evening. There were only two of us, as no one else had registered at the time. The course took place anyway and we had the full attention and were able to get all the more involved with cooking and the story about tapas. Again and again Thank you very much
It was nice, average. There are way better cooking sessions we did all around the Europe. Food was okey, we would have cooked a better at home, I liked the flambing. 3/5 is fair.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the experience didn’t fully meet your expectations. We always use high-quality ingredients and teach authentic Spanish recipes with great care. We’d love to know what we could improve, as most of our guests leave very happy with the food and experience.
The Chef Fred is charming and amiable. A patient tutor that gave the history behind Tapas creation. He was confident enough to throughout to provide a hands on experience. I can go home with some tips to cook authentic Tapas. It's an easy recommend experience.
Fun night of cooking for us and learning some new Spanish dishes that we can make at home now. Our two girls (8 and 9) were able to help with all the prep and also making the food.
Nice evening for friends. We could have spent a little more tasks and a little more dishes. Lovely staff
Cute experience with a cook who speaks only Spanish and follows you step by step in the recipes. While the speaker translates into English. Very hospitable. There were 4 of us and we divided the execution of the dishes very easy and quick to perform. In the end we even enjoyed them.
