Etna Morning tour with lunch included (departure from Catania)
Description
Live a unique experience with our Etna Morning Tour. Our Guide will pick you up where agreed. The first stop will take you to a lava flow cave with helmets and torches, then stop for 10 minutes in a bar. We will continue with a light trek lasting about 2 hours at an altitude of 2000 meters and in the Silvestri Craters area on the south side of the volcano. You will walk on a path characterized by ancient flows, ancient craters and breathtaking landscapes. The tour will end with a tasting of typical Sicilian products and a light lunch, with which you can taste the flavors and food and wine tradition of our land. A real moment of pleasure and relaxation before returning to Catania.

A great morning walking Etna! Our guide, Giuseppe, was so knowledgeable and provided excellent dual-language information through the tour. It would have been good to have spent a bit longer exploring the mountainside but unfortunately we got caught in a big downpour of rain and had to retreat to a restaurant in the tourist area which cut our walk a bit shorter than we’d have liked. I would definitely recommend though - solid hiking or walking shoes/trainers with good grip are a must, and a rain jacket too (for sure!).

Giovanni accompanied us on this fantastic experience with our children aged 9 and 4... he was very professional, punctual, and extremely well-prepared! Patient with our pace.... We were also very lucky because the volcano was active, so we could hear its voice, see the column of smoke, and feel the rain of ash on us! Everything was perfect! Highly recommended

We left Catania around 8am and was back right on schedule at 2pm. Francesco was our guide and he was very good. Started at a stop where he outlined Enta and the various major craters and how volancos are made. Was very interesting and was an amazing view. We spent about 2hrs hiking around and seeing lava flows from early 2000 as well as up a crater to get a great view. Would recommend this tour - be ready to hike and bring some water.
