Description

You can see all Washington DC Monuments and Memorials, the White House and the Capitol at your own pace, with no bus-filled crowding or walking — and no waiting. You'll be protected from the weather, including rain, snow and sun. Kid-friendly and your dogs are most welcome! This is the best option for anyone with a mobility impairment. Our most popular tour is the Monuments and Memorials tour. We have done this tour 100+ different ways, depending on our guest's wishes. This is a tour of the entire National Mall on tricycle and includes the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, FDR Memorial, MLK Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean, Vietnam and WWII War Memorials, and the White House, as well as other memorials. We also conduct night tours, which usually include all the amazing lit-up sights (our favorites at night are The White House, World War II, Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt and the Capitol).

Perfect tour, especially with mobility challenges!

My parents and partner and I went on two separate tours with Rob and Don with Nonpartisan Pedicab in March 2026. This was a fantastic way to see the sights for my folks who were having mobility challenges at the time and needed a way to travel around the city with a wheelchair and limited walking. Rob and Don were kind, professional, and engaging and came prepared for anything the weather might throw at us. Rob coordinated with us before our trip to recommend the best dates and times to see the peak Cherry Blossoms based on the weather forecast and peak predictions. Our first tour was a moonlit monument tour and it was a cold, rainy, and windy evening - they came prepared with warm wool blankets for all of us, and had the pedalcabs protected from the elements with a roof and clear plastic covers! We chose to do two separate tours to see as much as we could in both the evening and day time as my mom as always wanted to see the Cherry Blossoms (day time) and the monuments are must so gorgeous lit up at night. Rob and Don picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel, and/or our museum of choice - making transportation around the city so much easier and convenient! It's a bit pricey, but worth it for my family and our needs, and they customize the trip to your requests - they even had a proposal that weekend where Rob picked up flowers for the unsuspecting guest! I HIGHLY recommend this company for an engaging trip around DC, they both have so much knowledge and history to share!

The Best With and Of DC

I took my mom to DC for her 70th birthday and this tour made all the difference! She loved it, as did I. Robert was kind and very knowledgeable of all of the monuments, memorials, and DC in general. My mom has issues with her knees, and Robert took extra care to ensure that she was comfortable and able to get in and out of the pedicab without issue. The tour itself was exactly what we wanted. It didn't feel rushed. I think I snagged him a customer or two for the next day because people saw us getting out and my mom's cane and asked questions and I gushed about our experience. He even took great photos of us. My only regret is that it took me so long to write this review!

Operator response

5 Stars from this 3 time repeat Customer!

I have 3 kids and when each one was finishing up 5th grade I took them to DC for a Daddy only trip. Mom stayed back in NY for all 3. I think she’s a little jealous but she says she’s not. Ha ha. Anyway, I took my oldest my daughter Taylor in 2017, my middle one my daughter Brooke in 2021 and last but not least my son Jax this past weekend. During each trip I used Robert at Nonpartisan Pedicabs. That’s 3 separate times over 8 years! I certainly age but this guy doesn’t! Robert is friendly, knowledgeable, makes suggestions but is open and willing to do whatever you want to in terms of which monuments you want to see. He’s completely upfront and transparent about his fee and he works with you relative to how long you want your tour to be and how much you’re ok with spending. He’s provides interesting factoids but doesn’t overdo it knowing part of his audience was an 11 year old. Robert is just a good guy who runs a great business with enthusiasm and is attentive to his customers. I highly recommend Robert and Nonpartisan Pedicab.

Thank you, Ross, for your wonderful review. I’ve been honored that you have taken all 3 of your kids to tour Washington DC with me. Now, I suppose I’ll have to wait until you have grandkids. 😊 Grandkids are wonderful, by the way — the greatest joy in life. I’m so pleased you and your kids have all enjoyed touring with me.

Came for the Cherry Trees left with the whole DC Pie!

Robert told us about the history of every area we visited. For instance the term Lobbying came from men meeting in the lobby of the Willard Hotel. He was very respectful of what we wanted to do or not do. I would not hesitate recommending this to anyone that wants to know more about DC. And there were still Cherry Trees in full blossom. Loved every minute of it!

Operator response

Thank you for your wonderful review, David. I had a wonderful time on tour with you and your wife as well. I’m so pleased you all enjoyed the tour.

Fabulous tour and guide made our day!

We were thrilled with our outing! Robert was super knowledgable and very helpful. I use a walker and he helped me on and off the ride as well as securing the walker so it would not rub against our legs. At some points when we wanted pictures taken of us, he did and showed amazing skill as a photographer, too. We ended up extending the trip by another quarter hour and he took us to our restaurant as the drop-off site, saving us the cost of an uber, plus adding information about building we were seeing along the way. Super experience!

Operator response

Thank you, Christina. I also had a very nice time on tour with you. I’m so pleased you both enjoyed the tour so much.

Great tour for older/limited mobility explorers!!

Booked an Essentials Tour for my parents (dad walks with a cane and walker) and couldn’t be happier with their experience. Robert picked them up from our DC hotel and put my dads walker on his bike. I really think it was the only way for my dad to see all the monuments since his mobility is so limited. After the tour Robert dropped my parents to meet us at a Smithsonian Museum. They were both very happy with all the sights they had seen and most of all Robert’s expertise and friendliness. I would definitely recommend this tour option for explorers with limited mobility !!
