Essence of St. Lucia is an amazing Heritage, Cultural, and Culinary experience. Your experience starts with a scenic drive to Greenwood Terrace, home of Barefoot Holidays St. Lucia. Take a leisurely walk with our Tour guide who will guide you through our small farm. Here you would receive an educational about all the flowers, fruit trees, and herbs planted in our beautiful garden. There are many exciting things to see and learn about whilst walking towards our in-house museum. Our museum is the home of many of exciting artifacts that carry a rich history. Our knowledgeable tour guide will take you on a journey from the past to the present, whilst our team prepares some tasty treats for you, made with many of the fruits that you saw on the farm. Essence of St. Lucia is truly an authentic St. Lucian experience blending the past and present as you See, Taste and Smell the flavors of the island, while discovering, exploring, and learning about life here in days gone by. Itinerary
Visitors will be taken through the vibrant tropical gardens, replete with over 300 species of flowering plants. The knowledgeable guide will have you see, touch and smell your way through the variety of plants as you learn their interesting medicinal properties and how they are used by the Islanders. Afterwards, visit a traditional Medicinal Garden, filed with a variety of herbs and spices, used in both medicinal and culinary purposes. After the Garden tour, visitors will be taken to the one of a kind on site mini museum, to witness artifacts from St. Lucia's fascinating past. Finally, guests will be treated to sampling session, where they get to enjoy a few local delicacies, sweets and alcoholic beverages.

Excellent tour of an estate garden. Ours was a small group, with a fabulous tour guide. We were served a delightful lunch of local dishes which were flavourful (while not overly hot for us with tender palates, LoL!)

Our Tour of a farm with guide Cion was wonderful !! He was very knowledgeable of all the trees and plants. We finished up with a wonderful food tasting that included Rum Punch and were told all the ingredients were from the small farm that we visited. The woman who served the food made it all. Lucious! The items inside were spectacular and need to be in a museum for St. Lucia. Driver, Sammy was fabulous too with funny, interesting stories. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!!!

We had such a lovely morning Greenwood Terrace. Showane "Sherwin" Williams was an excellent tour guide - and really took his time walking us through the gardens and museum space. We learned so much! Sylvia prepared a wonderful sampling of local fruits and delicacies. I love that we got to experience sight, smell, and taste all within the same tour. Thank you all for your hospitality!
