After about three hours by car, from Marrakech you reach Essaouira, a beautiful city, with an immense beach washed by the Atlantic Ocean. Historic center where white dominates the walls of the buildings. A historic center, the Medina, very beautiful, tidy, clean. The Souk is decidedly smaller than that of Marrakech but decidedly less chaotic and less suffocating. Also striking in this center is the large colony of cats. The city has a magnificent harbor where you can admire the numerous fleet of fishing boats, with an extraordinary fish market where you can buy any type of freshly caught fish. Dozens of stalls where you can buy it, have it cooked and eat it on the spot. It's worth the effort of the journey alone. Absolutely recommended.
