Itinerary

Admission included180 min

Wandering through the souks of Essaouira is a sensory experience not to be missed. Tucked within the city’s historic Medina, these lively markets offer a colorful mix of handcrafted goods, from wooden carvings, woven textiles, and silver jewelry to spices, argan oil, and local artwork. Unlike the bustling souks of Marrakech, Essaouira’s souks are more relaxed and easier to navigate, making it a perfect place to shop, chat with local artisans, and soak up the authentic coastal atmosphere.

Admission included3 min

Discover the charm of Essaouira’s Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its blend of Moroccan and Portuguese architecture, colorful alleys, artisan shops, and vibrant souks. With a local guide, explore its lively streets, visit traditional markets, and admire historic buildings and hidden gems. Walk along the impressive ramparts of the Kasbah and the Scala, where old cannons still face the sea and panoramic views of the Atlantic and the whitewashed city unfold before you — a perfect blend of history, culture, and coastal beauty.

Admission included30 min

Essaouira Beach is a long, wide stretch of golden sand lining the Atlantic coast, perfect for a peaceful stroll, sunbathing, or simply enjoying the fresh ocean breeze. Known for its steady winds, it’s also a popular spot for kite surfing and windsurfing, giving the beach a lively, adventurous vibe. With views of the historic Medina on one side and the Îles Purpuraires offshore, Essaouira Beach offers a beautiful mix of relaxation and scenery, ideal for unwinding after exploring the city.

Admission included30 min

The **Marjana Argan Oil Cooperative**, located near Essaouira, offers visitors an authentic experience of traditional argan oil production, supporting local Berber women through fair employment. Guests can watch the entire process—from hand-cracking the nuts to cold-pressing the oil—ensuring a genuine, chemical-free product. While many travelers praise the quality and the social mission behind the cooperative, prices can be higher compared to shops inside Essaouira's Medina. Still, the visit is informative, the products are pure and locally made, and it's a great way to support sustainable, women-led businesses in Morocco.

Admission included60 min

The Port of Essaouira is a bustling hub of maritime life where traditional blue fishing boats line the harbor, creating a vibrant and colorful scene. Known for its fresh seafood, the port is a lively spot where fishermen unload their daily catch, and locals and visitors alike enjoy the authentic atmosphere. Walking along the quay, you can watch artisans repairing nets, see the hustle of market stalls, and savor the salty sea breeze — all while taking in stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and the historic city walls.

Terrible

Basically, no experience because nobody picked me up. If I had 0 that's how I would rate it. No emails were sent and I woke up to be ready for 7.30 as stated iin my ticket. I waited from 7.32 to 8.15 outside the hotel and then I went back to my room as the cleaners were working outside. Extremely annoying. What a waste of time.

Great Trip, but Disappointing Customer Service

My review is based on my overall impression of the travel agency. The trip to Essaouira was fantastic. I definitely recommend it to everyone, as the city has an unique atmosphere, and I got to experience another side of Morocco. The tour guide shared a wealth of information with us—not just about the journey itself but also about Moroccan culture and traditions, which was very interesting. There was also plenty of free time to explore the city. The reason I’m not giving a five-star rating is that I had to book and pay for the trip twice. I had to miss my first booking because I was bitten by a stray dog, and I needed to have the wound treated the next day, which was when my original trip was scheduled. I asked the travel agency to reschedule my booking. I didn’t ask for a refund, just a bit of flexibility, considering it was an unexpected emergency situation. The agency responded that they would get back to me, but they didn’t for two days—only after I had already booked and paid for the trip again. At that point, they finally offered to change the date, but by then, I had already paid twice. I found this a bit cheeky and disappointing.
