The train ride is fine, but the best part is going to the national park for hiking.
Buenos días ¡Gracias por visitarnos! Si, el Parque Nacional es un lugar único ¡Saludos!
Super scam, horrifically expensive, tourist trap, everything is nonsense, even the river. Full of excuses to take your money. I had to pay for the entrance ticket to the national park again even though I had done it the day before and the train had been canceled. In short! Get out unless you want to pay €60 per person for nonsense. Flee!!!
Cordialement. L'équipe du Train du bout du monde
Not worth what they charge. The train has very tight seats, carrying 6 people in a wagon. It's not comfortable. The landscape is beautiful. A small stop is made, but nothing comparable to the beauty of the national park, this yes, unavoidable, with hallucinating landscapes
Divine experience! It's a beautiful tour inside the national park, along the prisoners' path. Spectacular landscapes of mountains, forest and turbulence. Mandatory walk if you are visiting Ushuaia. It has several departures per day. The price is a little high, it comes out 65,000 pesos, but it is a unique experience. It's worth it! We did it in the morning and then we kept walking to Ensenada Bay and we did Coast Path. It can be reached by car, regular transportation or remis. We hired a divine girl on recommendation, and she took us all week. Excellent person, very responsible! Here I leave your contact: +54 2901 478819, her name is Dina. I highly recommend it. It charges almost the same as regular transportation, but it is more comfortable, and better service. We had a great time!
The national park is gorgeous and worthwhile but the train is certainly not! They charge $65CAD per person to go barely 1km! The views from the train are nothing you can’t see in a car and a car is needed to go to most of the sites in the park. The train does not take you to the post office or the end of the pan American highway. Save your money and rent a car or taxi to explore the park
Dear traveller, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate all comments, as they help us continue improving our service. We are very glad to hear that you enjoyed the beauty of the national park—it is indeed a remarkable place. At the same time, we are sorry to learn that the train experience did not meet your expectations. Allow me to clarify that the journey covers a longer distance than mentioned and is designed not primarily as transportation, but as a historical and scenic experience, recreating the route once used by prisoners many years ago. The focus of the experience is to offer a different perspective of the landscape, along with onboard service and storytelling, rather than serving as a means to reach specific points within the park. We understand that each visitor has different preferences, and for those looking to explore the park more extensively and at their own pace, traveling by car can indeed be a suitable alternative. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Ushuaia. Kind regards,
The tour is overrated. The End of the World Train is quite expensive compared to the experience it offers. Personally, I wouldn't do it again. If you are considering taking this tour, I recommend reading other comments, as I am not the only one with this opinion. You’ll probably find better options to invest your money in really worthwhile activities.
I really enjoyed this experience - the bit of history they share over the headsets on the way to and from the Park, the stop at the Cascada Macarena, and the communication and help of the staff. I was on the first train so I could do some hiking in the Park before going back, and the agent was extremely helpful in letting me know what hikes I could - and shouldn't! - do in order to make it back in time for the last train. The ride itself was very serene and relaxing, and I would do it again.
Beautiful day for a train ride! Two hour ride out and back (you can get off at the National Park station, just make sure you have a pre-arranged ride, there were a couple of taxis available). Recorded information via supplied headphones was informative about the history of the railway and Ushuaia prison. Staff was very friendly and courteous, speaking Spanish and English. They do say no drinking or eating while onboard but nearly ever was enjoying a snack and their “Mate” with no hassle from the staff.
Tourist trap from the moment we arrived at the train station. Not worth the price of the ticket when they pack you like sardines into these tiny rail cars. It is painfully slow, which I think is done on purpose to give you the impression of getting your money’s worth. The saddest part is there is nothing scenic about the ride. For the majority of it, you are just staring at trees in a forest. There are no awe inspiring vistas or scenic overlooks. Save your money and skip this.
Tour with contemplation of landscape and animals. Guide tells the history and geography of the region. With drinks included.
