Panama

Wonderful experience. Canoe down the river; ate a typical Embera lunch, experience their dancing and culture and purchase a few authentic crafts.

Great adventure, but be prepared for the trek to the waterfall.

Enjoyed the experience and the Embera people are very welcoming. However, the tour description did not include that the trek to the waterfall is strenuous, involves rock climbing and the need for sturdy water shoes. Several people in our group fell in the water, slipped on the rocks, and ruined their shoes.

Must do experience

Loved everything about this tour. A few of the men meet you then board a canoe where they rowed us to the village where you are greeted by the Embera village with beautiful beats with drums and maracas even the children are involved. We then row & hike to a beautiful waterfall. The village performed for us & fed us a delicious meal. This by far was the best tour in Panama.

Amazing time!

Had such a great time on this excursion! The guide was very informative from the moment he picked us up he was pointing this out and sharing the history of Panama. The tribe was amazing! They do temporary tattoos and my husband and I both got one. Each family has a table where they sell things that they make. Wish we would have taken more money because they had alot of cool stuff there but we tried to spend a little at every table to help everyone out. Mosquitos were no joke so definitely bring spray! Would definitely do this again!!

Good tour. The people were welcoming. It is pretty adventurous to get there as well. Be prepared maybe even water shoes or shoes with grip.

Informative and educational

Our guide Enrique was very knowledgeable and funny. He had lots of stories to tell us. Our Emberá guide Eliese was so kind and helpful. We were welcomed by the people, young and old, learned about their history and ways of living. It was a beautiful day experiencing beautiful culture with beautiful people and the national park is worth the visit.

Tribesmen

Truly enjoy myself. Learned a lot about the community and the tribe and how hard they work to keep their traditions alive.
