This was my second year traveling and booking with Freelancenana and I’m already planning my third return for December 2023. I trusted Nan Nah and his associates with finding my accommodations and excursions and they did not disappoint. Everyday was filled adventure, fun, new friends, history and of course the food!! I came on this trip solo but was introduced to an awesome family of eight who quickly became my family as well. We spent 7 days exploring Ghana's rich history and culture that also included exploring nearby Elmina which is a nearby fishermans community filled with an awesome colorful vibe and beautiful people. I encourage everyone to plan a trip to Ghana and only use Freelancenana to plan your experience.
Nana was an awesome tour guide. He was engaging and knowledgeable and shared a lot of knowledge on the drive to the location and whilst on location. I chose not to do the suspension bridge tour due to my fear of heights, but was rewarded with an even greater experience of liming with local ghanians and feeling the culture in a relaxed environment where I felt totally at home. .. this trip is a must do and I intend to recommend and reuse Nana services again in the future. He's an awesome individual and a true professional.
Thank you so so much. I very much appreciate it and it was great having you. Cant wait till you are back. Greetings!!!
I would highly recommend Nana. His attention to detail was amazing. His support staff was also incredible. My son and I had an amazing time during our tour of Ghana. I’m already planning my next trip to Ghana!!!
Many thanks for your review. We really appreciate it. Kim, you and your son were so amazing and looking forward to many more adventures with you. Greetings from Ghana.
We had a great experience at Elmina castle and at Kakum National Rainforest, guided by the awesome Nana Preston. I recommend him highly. We will never forget those swinging bridges and the slave dungeons. It was a long drive from Accra to the west coast, but it was worth it.
So very grateful to have had this experience in Ghana 2020–Year of Return! Arrived in Ghana on New Years Day ahead of my friends and Nana was at airport for a pickup and had checked with my hotel to confirm my reservation was intact. I was very grateful to hear that and impressed at the personalized touch that went above and beyond what I expected. The next day he came to take me to go and see some sights in Accra before he went to get my friends from the airport. The following day, we left for our 2 day Elmina Castle and Kakum Rainforest tour. On the way to Elmina, we visited the Ancestral Slave River Park in Assin Manso and were given a history and tour of how slaves were captured and prepared for transport to Europe and the “New World.” This tour was not only emotional and moving but quite informative. After that we continued to Elmina and had dinner at a lovely ocean side restaurant and then on to the Coconut Grove Lodge for the night. Nana took us out to tour Elmina at night which was a very nice touch and allowed us experience the town as locals do. We had beer and conversed at a local bar and met some of his friends and acquaintances along the way. The Elmina town and castle tour the next day was emotive, informative, and entertaining. An excellent and personalized touch was the T-shirts he give our group that was the envy of others on other tours as we were asked by by them where to get one. After Elmina we went to the Kakum National Park for a canopy walk which was not only beautiful but was also thrilling. After all this, we headed back to Accra and our respective hotels. He took pictures of our group during much of the trip and was the most accommodating tour guide. I can personally state that I had a fantastic time thanks to Nana’s generosity as a person and a guide. I would recommend his tours to anyone interested and hope his company grows to the heights he dreams of.
This tour was one of the most memorable activities during my stay in Ghana. Our tour guide,Nana Preston, was energetic, encouraging and interactive throughout the day. And the lunch at one of the Elmina resorts was awesome. A very well planned tour!
