Great way to see the island! The electric bike were worth the extra money, there are quite a few hills that we saw people walking bikes up. Spend the money. You will see more of the island and have time for a beer before you leave if you do just a day trip like we did.
Aran Island E-bikes were good, be sure to test it before taking it for the day. The staff were awesome. The roads, paths, and trails are busy with people, horse drawn carts/wagons, vans, and buses.
Absolutely the best way to see the island. The rental company is directly at the end of the pier. It was a little confusing since there is no company name listed when you book the reservation. Pick up and drop off run very smoothly. Electric bikes are the only way. Skip the regular bike rental! Island is not flat.
Easy to book, collect and return. Bicycles in perfect condition! The best way to visit the island. Electric bike imperative, it goes up and down!
Bikes were in very good shape. Took the electric option and our family of young adult children were so happy we did. We saw much more than you’d see with a regular bicycle. The method to get the bikes was a bit chaotic but there were a lot of people on our boat.
E-bike! This is the best way to go if you can ride a bike! The hills and distance make regular biking a chore. Any other transportation doesn’t give you the same freedom to stop and start.
What surprised me the most was the mark up charged by this company! The tickets are readily available once you walk off the ferry. Please save yourself a ton of vacation budget and wait to purchase on site. The vendor itself is super nice and friendly - well stocked!
Despite the fact that it was pouring rain most of the day this was one of our favorite days of our entire trip. The island is quite hilly and the e-bikes made it easy to zip all over. We felt bad for the traditional bike riders we kept passing. The island is perfect for bikes as there aren’t many cars. More horse and carts. We were able to quickly grab our bikes as soon as we got off the ferry. Helmets were included. We had more than enough time to explore, and saved time for lunch before taking the ferry back to Galway.
We had a great time biking around the island on the electric bikes being able to stop at the different sites to take in the beautiful, stunning, breathtaking views!! We throughly enjoyed our time and the service offered.
The team at Aaron’s bike was awesome. Helped me store my backpack for the day: a huge help sense it was 30 pounds. Had a chance to stao on innishMoir and Dave..huge shout out.. Took me and my gear to the gaming site and wouldn't take a tip Excellent day thanks to the friendly crew. Thanks
