Electric Bike Tour in Kinsale Town Cork Ireland

Description
A great tour if you are visiting Kinsale for the first time! This is the way to see the absolute best of Kinsale town and all the sights around Kinsale harbour. Using e-bikes, your guide will cycle with you around the coast, visiting mighty forts and beautiful beaches. From high level roads, we'll stop to enjoy views of Charles Fort, James Fort and we'll cycle through colourful, picturesque Kinsale. We'll visit Sandycove, where you can try to spot some of the wild goat population who live on Sandycove island. The pace is relaxed and the views are spectacular! Please note that this cycle is best suited to confident cyclists who are comfortable with steep up and downhills and are happy to cycle in traffic. Any remaining time not accounted for in the attractions list is spent cycling and exploring the Kinsale area by electric bike. This bike tour is a great way to see beyond Kinsale town.

Itinerary
Our meeting point is in the car park of the Cork College of FET, Kinsale. Here, you'll be given bikes and helmets. We'll do a practice cycle before we set off to make sure you are comfortable on your ebike!
We'll pass by the Bulman Pub in Kinsale en route to Charles Fort.
We'll cycle to the magnificent Charles Fort which is one of the most popular attractions in the area. Charles Fort is a star-shaped structure of the late seventeenth century. We'll stop here and have a look from outside.
We'll be cycling along the coastal route of the Wild Atlantic Way. Great scenery!
We'll get amazing views of James Fort as we cycle along the high roads around Kinsale harbour. This fort was built in 1607 to guard the harbour.
We'll park up the bikes for a few minutes to enjoy the small but popular Dock Beach. From here you can enjoy views of Charles Fort from across the harbour. Normally there are good views of boats sailing in the harbour and often sea swimmers braving the cold water!
We'll cycle along the inlet to the Sandycove area. We'll stop for a time to enjoy views of the island, sea swimmers and boats. On clear days, you can get a good view of the Old Head of Kinsale (a peninsula with lighthouse, signal tower and well known Old Head Golf Links).
The tour will finish at the same point as we started. We will normally have stopped for a tea/coffee or soft drink (included) in one of the pubs, cafés or coffee trailers along the way.

We LOVED this tour...it was one of the best things we did in Kinsale! Ruth was a terrific guide...and provided a fun tour of the beautiful coastline, farms, and points of interest around Kinsale. She was easy going and delightful! Highly recommend!!!
I'm so glad that you enjoyed the ebike tour. Thanks so much for taking the time to review it!
Great experience… we saw so much of Kinsale that we otherwise would have missed ! Ruth was very knowledgeable and a great guide thoroughly enjoyed the ride and would definitely recommend
Thanks a million for the review & glad you all enjoyed it!
Great morning. Lovely views of Kinsale harbour. Quiet roads. Coffee stop at Charles Fort. Our guide Ruth was great and had obvious concern for our safety. Lots of information about other things to see and do while in Kinsale.
Thanks for the review, Niamh and glad you enjoyed the tour.
This is a fantastic activity when visiting Kinsale! Ruth worked with us to schedule a private tour that would fit our time requirements. This is the perfect way to get an introduction to Kinsale. The route, the history Ruth shared, the conversation and overall experience that Ruth provided was just great! Our group of 4 couldn't have picked a better activity for us all to do together. Our 30+ year old's are still raving about it...definitely one of the highlights of our time in Kinsale!
Delighted you enjoyed your private ebike tour! Thanks for the review.

Thanks Chris. Appreciate the review and glad you enjoyed it!
1000% an absolute MUST DO activity when visiting Kinsale! We considered just renting bikes and exploring the town on our own, but this would have been a huge mistake. The route, history, conversation and overall experience that Ruth provided was spectacular. The tour is 2 hours, and includes a stop at a local coffee shop. We needed to cancel the coffee shop as we had a prior commitment that afternoon and Ruth was very accommodating, ensuring we didn't miss anything. We learned so much about the region, people, and community and got a number of great recommendations for the remainder of our time in Kinsale. THANK YOU SO MUCH RUTH!
I'm delighted you enjoyed it so much! It was wonderful having you all on the tour. Thanks so much for writing this lovely review - much appreciated!
