Excellent experience from start to finish. First time electric bike users but Sam took great care to explain not just how the bikes worked but where and how to make the most of our self-guided four hours. What a leisurely, safe and fun way to explore Los Olivios wine country.
We had a great day biking around the vineyards. Sam was so helpful with directions and recommendations. Truly a great experience.
This was an amazing experience! We would recommend anyone to check it out when they’re in town! We drove up from Santa Barbara and rented the bikes to explore the wineries. It was beautiful out and Chad at the shop showed us which roads to stick to which were bike friendly. We ended up doing 3 wine tastings in the 4 hours (Blackjack, Beckman, and Brander). Absolutely would go back to do it again!
Super business who takes care of the customer! We had a great time. Be careful and you will too! Get the sporty bike. Both are good, but if you are going up hill the power is really nice. Pay attention to what you are told and it will be a great time.
Great staff, quality and well maintained E-bikes. We had the best time! Guidance for winery visits and food was great.
We aren't experienced cyclistsbut had an amazing time. I really recommend going in the cooler months because there are very few people going to the wineries so you can easily get reservations, very few cars are on the road, and you won't be dying of the heat. Just know winter is not the right season to see the lavender blooming, but the Claremont Lavender Farm is still operational and very pretty. Chad who runs to bike shop is super knowledgeable, walked us through using the bikes and also walked us through multiple routes, outlining things to do and wineries that are good through the countryside. The electric assist on the bikes makes it easy to start up and get up hills. The routes are mostly paved and very well maintained, even after it rains (we did not do the canyon route). The bikes are well maintained and Chad makes sure they're right for your stature. I hadn't actually ridden a bike in 10 years but it was SUCH a fun experience, it makes me want to buy an electric bike. Take Chad's advice and buy a sandwich at Panino Los Olivos- their sandwiches are GODLY- and have a picnic lunch at any of the places he outlines along the route because the properties are just so beautiful. We had our picnic at the Beckmen Winery which Chad recommended and it was STUNNING. Their wine tasting is great and their little winery cat named Pie enjoyed hanging out with us too (we love you Pie). We spent about 3.5 hours on the bikes and ended the day with some homemade ice cream at the coffee shop down the hill form the bike shop. I can't wait to take my friends here next year!
Great easy to use bikes. Map of area and info provided easy to follow and excellent recommendations. Go to merchant cafe for lunch!
Sam, the store owner, had a big map on the wall with suggested routes. It was great to get his advice on where to go routes to take. We took an easy flat road for the first half of the time. After lunch we went on a hilly route we never could have enjoyed without an e assist bike. Beautiful total immersion in the countryside. Like no place close by.
Great day of wine tasting, bikes are easy to use and a great way to see everything. Beautiful country and the company was easy to work with.
Had a great time biking around wine country in Los Olivos. Samuel at Pedego Bikes was outstanding, calling me back right away when I had questions, making sure I had the correct size bike, explaining carefully how ebikes worked (our first time using one) and giving us detailed directions for routes. Altogether an experience I’d highly recommend.
