I booked the El Yunque and Luquillo tour for myself and my sons birthday and received a cancellation due to sargassum. The morning of I noticed another email confirming the booking so i called and spoke to a disgusting man with a disgusting attitude names ALEX who told me they "accidentally cancelled my booking but I'm booked, but they couldn't charge my card without my consent." So when I tried to clarify because the money was already debited from my account and voice my confusion- his response was "is that what I said?" To further clarify according to his words I would be paying over $300 to rebook while waiting for the original payment to be refunded and it would have been nice to have gotten a phone call to sort this out yesterday instead of two hours before my scheduled pickup. His response was to become irate, yelling that it was "water under the bridge" and "he didnt have to take me with MY attitude." I asked about my refund when I told him I wasny arguing with his but he was very unprofessional and he said "we'll I'm arguing with you." I said you guys were the ones who made the wrror, I'm having over 300 debited from my account and this was his response. He hung up on me. Needless to say, I'm grateful for the cancellatio. They seem great once they have your money but lack service and accountability to correct errors they are responsible for.
Perfect low exertion tour. Short walk learning about the plants & animals. Great for people who don’t want lots of hiking.
Plan a whole day .. Should change time of tour from 9 to 5 not 9 to 3. We missed our event for 5pm that was paid for and couldn't get a refund .
Not too much walking but bring shoes that have good grip due to wet stones etc. and bring a poncho also! Guides Joshua and Raphael were terrific. Great team.
Great experience of the rain forest. The guide was very informative and made it fun. I would recommend to friends. We did not stay at the beach but it looked to be fun.
We are glad we went on this experience. A few pointers for others. Bring or wear shoes that you can walk out into the river in, it is too painful bare-footed. There is no place to change or use the bathroom at the river stop so plan accordingly. There are no chairs or umbrellas to rent at the beach. We brought a hotel towel to sit on. The bathrooms at the beach are in the restaurants. There are real bathrooms at the nature trail and porta potties at the observation tower.
Well, I just would say avoid this company! If I say "very unprofessional" that would not describe completely my experience with this .... company (if I can call this sh... place this name). If you want to save yourself unpleasant experience and distortion of your plans - just avoid this ... let me finish by just saying this, because there were more involved and trust me don't get full by other good reviews, it can be bought by just paying some $$$, trust me on that one, I am a business owner myself and getting a lot proposals like that. You can contact me directly if you'd like, I will give you all details about my involvement with this ... his name I believe is Alex. Just stay away, there are many other nice operators you can choose
The two tour guides we had were exceptional with the wealth of knowledge and education they provided. We were also really impressed with their ability to present in both English and Spanish to accommodate the entire group.
The tour guide was very nice and funny, and the driver did an excellent job navigating the rainforest roads. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this trip. The rainforest portion was very short—we barely walked half a mile. The observation tower was just okay, and the river stop was underwhelming, with lots of rocks and cold water. Then we went to Luquillo Beach, which wasn’t my cup of tea. The beach was dirty and not well-maintained, and it was crowded with locals. We ended up taking an Uber back. While the staff were wonderful, the tour didn’t meet my expectations. I had hoped for a longer, more immersive rainforest experience and a cleaner, more relaxing beach visit.
Angel was fantastic!!! Every stop was perfect! The photos we got were awesome and the experiences we had were incredible! Highly recommend.
