Itinerary
Travellers will see the revived Markthalle in Basel and visit some of the organic or Bio restaurant stands or shops.
We will visit the Oekoladen, hidden back in the theater building.
We will pass by the delightful Tinguely Fountain, which is powered by low-level electricity.
We will travel through the famous Barfusserplatz, on our way to Unternehmen Mitte.
As we travel through Marktplatz, you will see an impressive, central square in Basel. Looking to the right, you will see the imposing, red, medieval Town Hall. We are close to the river here and will move on to our next stop before the Ferry Ride.
A small store and cafe, this stop has aa delightful window with a view directly out on to the Rhine River. A priceless view, come back later in your visit for a coffee or tea.
We now go on a tour highlight, the Ferry that crosses the Rhine River. We won't tell you how this is powered, as it is one of the quiz questions on Actionbound.
Now we arrive at our last two stops: Basel Unverpackt: as store where you can purchase food items and pack it directly in your Tupperware, food jars or cloth bags. This eliminates packaging waste. We will also enter Lokal a store that purchases food and drinks from local producers and growers. Try the local ice cream.
