East Zion Dark Sky Stargazing Tour
Description
See the Utah Milky Way for the first time. Our knowledgeable guides will help you learn about constellations as you gaze at the crystal-clear night sky. After being taught you also have the opportunity to see the stars through our powerful telescope. Many groups get to witness a shooting star as a bonus! Note: this tour requires a short 5-10 minute walk up a soft dirt path, with slight incline. If unable to complete this walk, please contact us ahead of time so we can plan to transport you to the top. In fall and winter months, be prepared for cold weather! Make sure you bring hats, gloves, coats, etc. to keep you warm while you enjoy the tour.

Zion National Park is a dark sky area, allowing for an incredible stargazing experience. This tour takes place just outside the eastern border of the national park, elevated above the surrounding communities.

My boyfriend and I originally booked the stargazing tour, but he privately called and made it a private stargazing tour so that he could propose under the stars! Oliver (tour guide) and Steve (photographer) were the absolute best! They played along and helped my ,now fiance, plan the best night ever. I cannot say enough good things about Oliver. Even though it was cloudy, he did his best to ensure we had a night.
The tour guides were great, for blankets and chairs (needed as it is a cement slab you are on), received hot chocolate or cider packets with warm water. The walk up to the area was a little longer than expected for some of our family but overall good experience

Do this. Don’t hesitate. What a perfectly curated experience. Tucked in under the stars, you see it all. And the shooting stars are everywhere. Our guide was the best part. He gave us a tour of the night sky. He had storytelling and history and science packaged into a performance. My only complaint is I wish it was longer. I could have stayed for two hours listening to him and staring at the night sky.

We always enjoy star gazing experiences. They have a great spot to do star gazing in a very dark area of their property. However, if the moon is out you are very limited in what you can see. I would consider coming back here just to see the sky on a moonless night.

Great experience, beautiful stars in the sky, memorable. The only down side was the distance from Springdale, 40 minutes of dark curvy road.

This was a beautiful trip. Our tour guide was super nerdy about the stars and it made the trip so much better. The hike up was awesome and they had a UTV for my older mother.

My husband and I drove 1.5 hours to this stargazing experience. It consisted of two people telling a few mythical stories about a few constellations (maybe 15 min worth of speaking) then there was one telescope for everyone to use. We didn't want to wait in the long line so we left. There was hot chocolate to mix yourself on the stargazing platform. The directions to the rec center could have been better defined, it is very dark where the site is and there is little to no cell service. I would not recommend driving as far as we did for this experience.

So unique… loved the bean bags and the friendliness of the staff.. was pricey but so glad we did it … the included photography was a great touch and a great way to capture the memory
