Spend a day at the Eagle’s Nest, Berchtsgaden and visit the Ramsau Region with church and Lake Hintersee on this 8-hour private tour from Salzburg. Next to the historical Eagle's Nest the Ramsau region is another top sightseeing attraction in the Bavarian Alps. From November to about May 10th (depends on the snow conditions of the year), the Eagle's Nest direct access road is closed, alternatively we offer to visit the Rossfeld summit instead. From this vantage point, soak in panoramic views of the stunning Austrian and Bavarian Alps and the nearby Eagle's Nest. Feel free to choose this option also when Eagle's Nest is opened if you prefer a much less crowded, more local site than the Eagle's Nest.

During your stop, your guide will introduce the former Berghof area—once a key site of the Nazi regime, while also highlighting how this peaceful mountain setting contrasts with its past. Today, the Obersalzberg is appreciated not only for its history, but also for its scenic location overlooking the Berchtesgaden Alps.
From the Obersalzberg, access the Eagle’s Nest via the famous mountain road using dedicated buses, followed by the original brass elevator carved deep into the mountain. At the summit, enjoy time to explore this remarkable mountaintop location, surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views across the Bavarian and Austrian Alps. Beyond its dramatic setting, the Eagle’s Nest offers a unique combination of history and scenery, making it one of the most memorable highlights of your journey.

We had a great day with Manfred. He showed up on time in a clean and comfortable vehicle. He is knowledgeable about the history of the area and he took us to places the average tourist wouldn’t even know about. Manfred even made a lunch reservation for us at a delicious restaurant with a panoramic view of the Alps and Berchtesgaden. The Ramsau church and lake were beautiful, picture perfect.
