e-bike tour to discover Bari

Description
You can join with your own e-bike at no extra cost, or reserve an e-bike ready on site for €45, payable locally. Unless you communicate otherwise when booking, an e-bike will be considered reserved for all participants. For children’s e-bikes, child tandems and child seats, please check “Included/Excluded”. Discover Bari from two unforgettable perspectives: the open feel of the seafront and the authentic maze of Bari Vecchia. This relaxed e-bike tour takes you through the city’s most iconic areas, mixing sea views, everyday local life and hidden corners. You’ll ride along the waterfront and through the shopping district, with a stop near Teatro Petruzzelli. You’ll then reach the fishermen’s area, where the catch of the day arrives and is sold. Finally, you’ll enter the heart of Bari Vecchia, among narrow lanes, arches, small squares and courtyards, experiencing the city’s most authentic atmosphere. You’ll also see the typical scene of orecchiette pasta being made in the street. A local escort manages the route, stops and full assistance throughout the ride.

Rocco was our guide and he was amazing! The E-bike tour was interesting and Rocca has passionate when explaining the history.
Rocco is an amazing tour guide. Very informative! My wife and I enjoyed our 2 hour e-bike tour with him.
great guide, excelent rocco perfomance. great histories and visit, really good. i recomend it a lot.
Went on an e-bike tour through Bari in June. He was very friendly and came prepared with fully charged e-bikes, helmets, and nice chilled water bottles for everyone. Ours was an intimate group of four, plus our tour guide Rocco. Touring by bike turned out to be a wonderful experience and I recommend it to anyone visiting Bari even if you will only be in Bari for just one day. The weather in June was slightly warm, but the lovely sea breeze combined with the extra wind while pedaling felt amazing. Bari is a very small city, but it's history is a compact and richly layered tapestry. The abundance of trade and it's many, many conquests over the centuries have left their mark all across the town. Sometimes in ways that are obvious, but also in others that you may not notice until a local shows you what to look for... This tour starts in the old town and takes us past most of the sights you'd want to see anyway when visiting Bari, except in the comfort of an electric-assist bicycle while going in between the spots. At each stop, we would get to hear interesting stories about some of the historical significance which certainly helped me appreciate this beautiful city and it's people even better. After leaving Bari Vecchia, the old town, we rode through the Murat district and got to appreciate some of it's neoclassical architecture. We did ride through the city streets amongst traffic, but I never felt unsafe as cars here do tend to yield to bikes, and on the higher levels of electric assist you pretty much go as fast as the cars are traveling anyway. Finishing off our tour we rode along part of the Lungomare, Bari's beautiful seafront, and got to appreciate some amazing views of the old port and all the buildings further down the Lungomare. We also stopped at the famed Bari fish market, in the old port section of the Lungomare before returning to our starting location. It was close to lunch time after the tour completed, so I asked about recommendations for where I could find the best foccacia barese in town. I won't spoil where it is, but needless to say he was right! It was crispy on the bottom, soft and chewy on the top, and with the perfect balance of tomatoes and olives! If you have reached this far in the review and are still reading just do yourself a favor and book this tour already!
Thank you Blaine. I wish you all the best!
A fabulous couple of hours riding around Bari on e-bikes. Definitely takes the strain out of the experience! Rocco was amazing. He was so enthusiastic and had so much knowledge as he took us to various highlights of the city. We thoroughly recommend a trip.
Thank yo Adrienne!
We really enjoyed being shown around Bari with enthusiastic and knowledgable guide Rocco of Tours Puglia. Of the 20 different bikes we rented on this trip, their e-bikes were the most comfortable and worked the best, such that we wished we could have continued riding them after the tour was over. The 2-hour tour covered the waterfront, the old city, and a portion of the modern part of town, with an interesting narrative that left us with a good understanding of the history of the region. Since we were the only ones and coming from the port, Rocco met us near the port with the bikes which saved us a bus or taxi ride across town. Highly recommended!
Thank you Richard!
Rocoo was one of the best tour guides we had to date. We loved the e-bikes. If you get a chance definitely take his tour.
Thank you Karen! I wish to meet you and Steve again!
Roco was punctual and helpful. He enthusiastically shared his knowledge of Bari and made the whole experience interesting for me (54) and fun for my son (16). The bikes are top spec (according to my son) and this made it easy to navigate around Bari new and old town.
