E-bike Tour to Alberobello with Visit to a Donkey Farm

You can join with your own e-bike at no extra cost, or reserve an e-bike ready on site for €45, payable locally. For children’s e-bikes, child tandems and child seats, please check “Included/Excluded”. Start in scenic Alberobello, surrounded by its iconic trulli, with an e-bike ride through viewpoints and the main squares of the historic center, crossing Rione Monti and Rione Aia Piccola. Then leave the village behind and ride into the Itria Valley countryside on an easy route, along quiet lanes among vineyards, ancient olive trees and an oak wood, with panoramic stops for photos and local stories. A local escort manages the itinerary, stops and assistance during the ride, keeping a relaxed and pleasant pace. The special moment is a visit to a donkey farm, for an authentic encounter in nature, also suitable for families. After the visit, you’ll ride back to Alberobello with time to enjoy the village atmosphere again.

Note the bike ride is without a bike! You pay 47.50 just for guide here is 45€ loose for bike. This was not clear to us. Bike ride was interesting however we found the price ratio on the high side as nothing else is included.
This tour was great. Rocco was a wonderful guide. The ebikes were fun and easy to ride, the quiet backroads provided beautiful scenery, the information Rocco shared about the area was interesting, and the visit with the donkeys was a joyful highlight. Highly recommend this tour.
Rocco was the best tour guide we had in Italy by far. We took 12 tours so I had a good basis of comparison. He is Italian by birth but his English was flawless. He was friendly, funny, patient and very knowledgeable about the Alberobello area and countryside. We rode e-bikes which were in great shape and he never rushed with anyone’s questions. A wonderful ride through the countryside around Alberobello. Rocco was a great guide - knowledgeable and engaging. The donkey farm was a highlight. The e-bikes are so easy to ride...I would recommend.

The owners of the donkey farm were very friendly and showed us around the farm. It’s a great way to get out of town away from the crowds and see the countryside. When you travel with Rocco, he will be out of the tourist groups and Comp in the countryside on your bike. He only takes 2 to 4 people, and you can stop and look at anything you wish. We saw many trulli And Rocco stopped and we went inside one. The donkey farm is more than just donkeys. It is also peacocks sheep, and other formals. So much better than just a visit to The heavily visited tourist city

Most of the tours around alberobello are walking tours of town. I wanted to get out in the country and get some exercise. Donkeys weren’t exactly on my to do list but I thought “why not?” It was a surprisingly relaxing experience to be in the field with these large and friendly animals. The bike was comfortable and had a good motor to take the hills. Saddle bags and water were provided. We made frequent stops at interesting sites even checking out a rustic trullo. My guide was very informed about everything from the history to architecture to flora and fauna. If you are lucky enough to have a small group like I did you will get the most from the trip by telling your guide your interests and how fast you want to go!
