A lot of time spent on a bus and quite a rushed experience in Budva

The tour is a good way of seeing some of Albania and Montenegro, both very beautiful, at a decent price. Be aware though that there is a lot of time spent on the bus and very little time in Budva - and none at Sveti Stefan except for getting out of the bus on the roadside to take pictures. So if you’re interested in experiencing more than taking pictures, this tour is probably not what you’re looking for. It was very rushed and the guide repeatedly requested being on time, but the schedule for the day was very unclear. We stopped for lunch already 10:30, 30 minutes after our coffee break and then not for three hours… Note that the pickup in Durres was already at 5:15 and we arrived in Budva at 2pm with 2 hours of eating, walking in the old town and swimming. The guide was super friendly but did not give a lot of information (she almost apologized for doing guide stuff…). Would also have been nicer if she did not just read from at paper! The trip was still not bad and we’re happy we came! It just needed better organizing and more guidance.

Okay tour, not much free time

Montenegro is beautiful but didn't really feel like we had much time to explore. Spent about 10 hours traveling for just a couple of hours in Budva. We felt the itinerary was a little misleading and give the idea you stop at the beach for an hour or so...then move onto the town and another stop, but really the beach and town is the same stop. We ran out of time to see and enjoy the beach (by the time we walked to old town, had much and did a walk round the town it was time to head back to the bus) and never saw the final stop of the Church. Wish we could have actually gone to Sveti Stefan but only was from a high up view point. Our guide Valerie however was good, very friendly but unfortunately the tour group was difficult and many people didn't listen to her which caused delays. She did a great job of keeping them under control. Well done Valerie! I'm glad we did the tour but I think the best way to see Montenegro is go for a couple days and explore yourself

Day trip to Montenegro from Golem

Got picked up at 5.15am and after a 40 minute coffee stop after crossimg the Albania/croatia border we arrived in Montenegro at 1.05pm. We then had a couple of hors to look around before picking up the bus again at 3.30pm. Anna, the tour guide was great, as was our bus driver. A long day for a couple of hours. If you have limited time in albania I would suggest seeing more of that country instead - unless you really wa t a fleeting visit to Montenegro.

Long trip but beautiful old town

The pick ups were very messy and time consuming - but otherwise we’re having a great time. Ana and driver good, friendly and informative. It’s a long drive for a short stop - we know what we signed up for, but it’s something to know before you book! The old town in Montenegro was beautiful and the scenery along the way good too

It was average

We was supposed to be picked up at 5:20am and had to wait another hour The tour guide was helpful however he didn’t have a microphone so communication was difficult The location was beautiful but only had 2 and half hours So overall we were ready to be picked up at 5:20 am and got back to our hotel by 9;30pm Hats off to the bus driver though Price was cheap so really can’t complain To much travelling for us

Way too much driving!

The excursion promised 3.5 hours of driving each way, but the reality was far from that!!! In the morning, we drove for 6 hours, and in the evening, 8 hours due to traffic. Of course, the excursion cannot predict heavy traffic, but the normal duration when traffic is smooth is still twice as long as expected. On-site, it was promised to be between 3.5 and 4 hours; we only had 2.5 hours, just enough time to eat, quickly visit the city (which is still magnificent), and we were already leaving for 8 hours of driving. The guide was super nice, and the scenery was great, but we drove a total of 14 hours for 2.5 hours of excursions. It was not worth it. We left at 5:45 AM (Golem) and returned at 11 PM.

Long bus ride with a few highlights

At 5.30 a.m. we started. After about 1 hour everyone was picked up. First rest just after the border. Half an hour was just enough for the bathroom and a coffee. The microphone was broken, so little information. Sveti Stefan superimposed, therefore postponed to return. In Budva 2h30 time, that's all. Great old town and beach. On the way back nice photos of Sveti Stefan taken, then with a stop long drive back until 8.30 pm. Guide friendly but rather simple organizer than real companion.

Montenegro Highlight with Mentor

Took this tour from Albania to Montenegro with Mentor. He was very knowledgeable and a funny guy, the trip was awesome with beautiful views. He also provided us with wifi on the bus which solidified the 3hr trip.
