My friend and I visited Dudhsagar Falls this June. With the start of the monsoon season, the waterfall was absolutely roaring! It truly looked like a massive "sea of milk" cascading down the mountain—the sheer volume of water was incredibly powerful and breathtaking to witness. The spice plantation stop afterward was also lovely and beautifully lush from the rain. A few crucial tips for a June visit: Jeep safaris might be closed: Because of the June rains, the river levels rise, which usually means the standard Jeep safaris into the national park are suspended. My friend and I couldn't go down to the base pool to swim. Make sure to double-check with your tour operator beforehand to see how you'll be viewing the falls (usually via a passing train on the railway bridge or a trek). Beware of leeches and slippery paths: The wet weather brings out forest leeches. Do not wear sandals or flip-flops for this trip. You absolutely need sturdy, closed-toe sneakers or hiking shoes with good traction, plus plenty of bug spray. Pack full waterproof gear: The monsoon showers come out of nowhere and umbrellas are useless in the mountain wind. A high-quality raincoat or poncho is a must, along with waterproof bags for your phone and camera. While the rainy season limits some activities, June is hands-down the best time to see the waterfall at its most wild and dramatic capacity!
A great experience with a friendly, informative and helpful guide. We got picked up at our address by our guide Dnyndeep and Satish the driver. For the entire journey Dnyndeep gave us lots of background to the history of Goa, pointing out landmarks and their relevance on our journey to the Dudhsager waterfall. The trip to the national park was in a modern air conditioned vehicle in good condition. When we got to the national park, this swaps over and our guide waits for us. He organised our tickets and coordinated with our Jeep driver to find suitable people for us to travel with up to the waterfall. The national park only allows its jeeps and drivers and has strict controls on what you are allowed to take into the park. Our guide waited for us at the base as we went on the 45 minute bumpy journey into the jungle. We spent ninety minutes at the waterfall which you could swim etc. For gods sake dont feed the monkeys! There is a 15 minute walk there and back between the actual waterfall and the jeep car park. The terrain is a little rough. I had knee surgery ten weeks prior and I was able to manage it. But if you have general mobility issues you might need to think about the walk. When we returned Dnyndeep was waiting for us and we drove to the spice plantation. Quite fascinating we had lunch, which had a nice not so hot section and a “if you want it like a local” with meat and vegetable dishes. The tour of the plantation was a small circuit away from the lunch area and through to the gift shop, but in there you did get to see what they do, and some of what you might think about how we get spices and fruits get thrown in the air. Very friendly and informative. From memory, we saw vanilla, red green and black pepper, cocoa beans, cinnamon, jackfruit, pineapple, allspice, nutmeg, turmeric and banana plants. And we bought a few things and then we got a lift home. The advantage of the guide and driver was the convenience, the ease of getting from one place to another, no standing in line. Well worth it.

I deleted my last review as I got such a negative and quite frankly aggressive response from the company I felt threatened and removed it as I was still in India and was worried of repercussions. I’m not now, So here it is… It was a good start to the day as the guide was prompt and then the long drive to the waterfall start point . We then were taken on a long bumpy jeep ride up to the waterfall itself. Then we had to navigate ourselves through forest which wasn’t too bad but although the waterfall was beautiful and the monkeys were a delight , the rocks you have to navigate are treacherous especially the wet rocks and the chance of cheeky monkeys stealing your belongings is high. We got an hour and half to see everything which wasn’t enough time as it felt very rushed. Back to the bumpy jeep ride which was fine but I saw no wildlife on the way back so not really a safari. Then to the plantation which was another long drive then a quick 20 minute walk around a circle to see a few spice plants and trees ( Justin our guide was informative and funny) but again not enough time. Then a bit of lunch which was not to my taste. Meat was mostly bones and some other not very nice things. As a chef I would expect better quality for the price you pay for this trip. They have a designated smoking point which I used but didn’t buy anything as it looked sparse and overpriced. I asked my guide if they still do elephant experiences in Goa and he informed me that at the plantation we were in they did have them but only on Mondays. Apparently it’s in the part of the plantation. called the jungle book. I don’t believe in animal cruelty at all but if the animals are being treated nicely and you get to see them and feed them that would have made the trip more worthwhile. Wasn’t worth the money in my opinion.
This is the 3rd time this reviewer has posted his review against his single booking, and he is too acknowledging the same at the outset. Since he flouted many local laws during his India stay , so he deleted his previous ones and now has started writing all over again after reaching his home country. We are countering the unreasonable issues highlight by him as per below: 1. His persistence to see a captive Elephant: Sorry in line with the platforms strict "NO Human-Animal contact" policy, we do not offer any visits to see a captive animal specially like Elephants. Let animals be free from human bondage. Its very unfortunate and unruly on par of the guest to demand to see them in captivity and then use them for rides. He did a flawed internet research and then pressurized us to offer animal rides, though we neither allow nor mention any rides anywhere in our program. 2. His demand to smoke right inside our car in the presence of our driver and the guide, later he smoked near the forest too and thereby flouting local forest laws again, although in his review he is mention that he smoke in an authorized area, however we strongly contest this claim and also most of the tour gets operated in the ecological sensitive zone only. 3. His complain about less meat in our food: We never mention any meat in our buffet local meal option, we have clearly mentioed a local "Goan" menu comprising of chicken (not meat), some freshwater prawn and then rice, guest is again reading something else and booking something else . we rest our case now and we request the readers too read carefully the tour which they are buying , raising unnecessary demands later is very unfortunate. Also we hope that currently the travel world is well informed about the suffering and plight of the animals under human captivity, so NO traveler should be so inconsiderate and threatening towards the local ecology and the local service providers . From the pre-tour conversation till the completion of the tour, everything was perfectly organized. The guide and the driver took great care of us. We wanted to do off the trail experience away from the busy beaches of Goa, and the waterfall tour completely matched our expectations, a little bumpy jeep ride on the off-road trails, a pristine forest with a massive waterfall inside, it was a heaven. Later we learned a lot about the spices and how they are grown under natural environment. We had read the tour description completely, so we were ready for a local indian meal inside the farm and we really enjoyed the local flavors, it is always nice to try something new. Thanks to Mr Jai Singh who is the honour if the tour company for always being in touch with their clients and making them feel comfortable in a new country expected the waterfall to be
