Derek gets a 10/10! A wonderful walk in nature, beautiful sights, stories, and anecdotes ! Comfortable travel and options!
The Wicklow Guided walking tour with tour guide Linda and her pup Bowie, quiet lunch in Enniskerry and visit to Glendalough was a refreshing and an exceptional experience. We enjoyed the pace of the walking tour and the information provided by Linda the tour guide/driver. As a local resident she was able to provide valuable insight into the Wicklow area which added so much to our Ireland experience. The day tour was a great balance between guided tour and time on our own to explore at our own pace. We highly recommend Hilltop Treks for your next adventure.
Thank you very much for the excellent and detailed review.
The tour today with Linda and her dog Bowie was great! Linda provided interesting historical information throughout the day, starting before we’d even left Dublin. The walk offered great views to Dublin and Dublin bay, and was on a quiet trail without lots of crowds (other than our group of 6 :-)). I very much appreciated being part of a small group tour and would absolutely book with Hilltop Treks again.
Thank you for the excellent review and its always great to get a high recommendation.
Matt is an amazingly attentive & entertaining guide. Thanks for the tip about the Saint Kevin’s Red Ale! A great way to see the Irish countryside while staying in Dublin.
Thank you Christine for the excellent review.
The Powercourt Estate was stunning! And Wicklow national park is massive and so beautiful! So happy I booked this!
Thank you very much Maggie for the wonderful review.
The walking tour/ Hike offered some great photo opportunities. The natural beauty was really nice. I’d suggest the park enforce pet waste as the trail had many dog bits along the way left for hikers. The Glendalough tour was nice and a great chance to learn about early Christianity in Ireland.
Gillian was our guide and we had a lovely day with her local background she kept us entertained with just the right amount of history, context, botany, background on contemporary Ireland and even some gossip. Really great time, many couples, and friends and anyone would feel welcomed. The scenery is already beautiful all you need to know is a little bit of the how and why to help really get a sense of the country! Thoroughly recommend! Liz and Tom May 2026
Thank you very much Liz and Tom for the excellent review.
Great tour with two nice hikes/walks. Linda gave a wonderful running commentary.
Thank you very much Tony for the excellent review.
Excellent and extensive tour of the Wicklow National Park and Glendalough. We joined the guided walk and enjoyed the information and views.
Thank you very much Brenda for the excellent review.
Derek gave the impression of wanting to go home quickly and did not offer everything, did not stop where it was agreed. You can expect this weather in Ireland and you shouldn't talk yourself out of it. Besides, his driving style was very fast and I didn't feel safe.
Sorry you didn't enjoy your tour and i will have a word with your guide.
