Dubai to Abu Dhabi Full-Day Shared City Tour

very nice tour. if you dont have enough time to explore on your own its a good way to see the most important things in time ! Also got a lot information

Visit of Abu Dhabi Mosque was excellent, but other part of trip..... I didn't like to spend much time in markets or carpet museum

It was a nice one day trip with visiting couple of landmarks in Abu Dhabi. The travel was comfortable, the guide was good, although i have expected a bit more to tell about the history. The communication with the company was good and i have received all informaiton needed.

The tour was not in an SUV as described but a minivan with 11 passengers and the air-conditioning was unable to keep up with the heat so by the end of 9 hours it was very uncomfortable. The other passengers were 1&1/2 hours late returning from the Mosque (after shopping) which threw the whole schedule off. Lunch was offered before the heritage museum and as a result the museum was closed and completely missed from the tour. Remaining stops were of no consequence - just a photo stop. Tour driver gave very little information so all we really got was a taxi ride to Abu Dhabi and return. Definitely not worth doing this particular tour.

We had a great day with Shams. Weather was great but super hot. Other tour guests were very friendly.Going to The Grand Mosque was our highlight.

We have joined SUV tour due to flexibility and no/less waiting time with a much higher price than group tour. However the local operator put us into group tour and we spent 50 mins in picking up other 2 parties resulting into 11 pax tour. When we complained to the local operator, he just said he could compensate us by putting us into a SUV for few short rides in Abu Dhabi but eventually we needed to take the minivan from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. I understood the offer by the operator was a trap as either way it could say we accepted the offer and settled or we declined its compensation. As we thought this was not fair to us, we declined to take few short rides of SUV in Abu Dhabi. Eventually we lost flexibility and more than 3 hours in waiting as other 2 parties were never on time. I need to empathized that the local guide Wasim is particularly bad in altitude and practice. First he disappeared and left us in the car park for 20 mins under 40 degree without instructions in the Grand Mosque. Due to over 2 hours drive, everyone needed to go for toilets. When Wasim showed up, he blasted us for wandering away and should stay as a team (but where were him and why didn’t you tell us to get indoor with aircon waiting for him rather than under 40 degree?!) and eventually we found out there was a free guided tour which allowed us to go inside to see the Mosques. Luckily we joined but none of other group members were there. Later we found out other member were not aware as Wasim did not say a word about the free tour. Wasted more than 3 hours in waiting and led by a bad guide, I am wondering if the local operator deliberately cheated us as now is low season and all other group members have joined the Viator group tour, not SUV. Just because of save cost…

Our Driver Zahir Arif not only gave us a tour but gave us memories sharing local and historical knowledge giving us a good sense of the area and the diversity of sights with an easy going and attentive approach. We appreciated the Grand Mosque, learned from the heritage center, had a great lunch and enjoyed coffee at the date market and met nice fellow travelers. So glad this tour was accessible to us in price range and location!

We were picked up over 30 minutes late, which would have been fine but then the remainder of the tour was beyond lackluster. Myself an my guests found ourselves frustrated for the most part. We were sent on our own at each stop with no guidance on what to look for and very little background on the tour spots' history/purpose. The car was extremely cramped as well and "sharing" it with another family who couldn't keep to the schedule at all was extremely frustrating. After the Mosque visit, which was uninformative and chaotic but beautiful at least, every other stop seemed meaningless. Without a clue on what the purpose of the Dates Market stop was or even the Presidential Hotel, we found ourselves standing around talking to one another rather than learning history or appreciating any art/culture information. Finally, we stopped at Farrari World for just 20 minutes... just long enough to go to the bathroom and look at yet another tourist shop. I have no idea what the point of that was. Overall, I would not recommend this tour to anyone. The driver was kind and the Arabic buffet was good but outside of that it was mostly a waste of the day.
