We had a pleasant full-day tour of Dubai with local guide Eleci, a Brazilian, who has lived in that city for 8 years. Intelligent and knowledgeable about the history of Dubai from the Bedouins to the present day, she took us to visit New Dubai, including the marina, the island built to house the Atlantis Resort and other precious buildings. In the afternoon, we walked through Old Dubai, with its restored 17th century architecture. Great request.
