Except for the Dune bashing, everything else was absolutely pits. The guide-cum-driver Abdul was very self-involved, constantly on the mobile throughout the drive from Dubai to the sand dunes, talking loudly in his own language. He made us switch cars and co-passengers at least 3 times. The camp part was well below average in terms of a cold dinner and insipid cultural entertainment. The surprise was that we were made to pay AED 50/- per person additional, over and above the tour cost for one the worst Waiter Services. What took the cake was when at the end, the driver abandoned us till we were the only ones left, as the camp staff wound-up for the day. Fortunately the coordinator at the camp became aware of our dilemma and managed to get hold of another driver to drop us back at our Hotel.
Driver was hospitable and guided us a lot, friendly. Was a great host and made the event memorable. It was great experience second time round.
