On this tour you will discover the delights of the downtown Sarasota food scene as you go on a leisurely walk with your personal guide! As you stroll to each of four carefully selected eateries, you will be entertained with local folklore, historical facts and stories where even we wonder~did that really happen? You will learn about our rich Ringling Brothers Circus history, the tension between the Native Indians and the Early Settlers; as well as how an unusual natural event derailed the first attempts at settlement; you will be introduced to our nationally recognized Street Art and Sarasota's first Brothel. Along the way, you may hear a ghost story too. This tour is an easy 3 hour walking tour. Each food stop is different (three savory offerings and one sweet) so that you can enjoy the ambiance and varied tastes of our restaurant partners! Our guides are fun and energetic. This tour will leave you filled with good food and dazzled by the interesting stories about our amazing town.

TERRIBLE ! Absolutely a waste of time and money, We paid over $300 for two of us and I figure we had about $100 of very mediocre food. You will go first to a restaurant I would describe as one step above McDonalds where you will have a chicken taco. Then to an Italian restaurant (the only decent one we visited) where you will have an appetizer size portion of ravioli. Then on to ribs place where you will have a piece of dry corn bread and poor quality / small serving of pulled pork and mac and cheese. Then on to the fourth "restaurant" which is not a restaurant at all, just a tiny ice cream shop where you will be treated to a small serving of ice cream that you eat standing up. Our guide was fine, but the restaurants and food as compared to the price was a complete rip off. Definitely not "culinary" as advertised.

This was a fun tour to 4 different restaurants in downtown Sarasota. Our guide, Taven, was entertaining and informative as he led us to tastings at restaurants we had not yet been to during our many previous visits to Sarasota. The food samples were varied and quite tasty, as wells as very filling! We highly recommend this tour!
