Wonderful and informative tour with Giovanna, a fantastic tour guide. Learned a lot about the history of Venice, as well as saw some beautiful paintings and architecture. This is our first time coming here and it was nice to be shown around by someone who knows the area so well. Would definitely recommend!

The collection of the tickets from the shop was a bit of a faff! I was expecting them to be emailed but you are emailed a redeemable voucher and have you visit the shop to collect them. I like to have them beforehand but went over two days to collect but they said they weren't ready! Ended up getting them 30 minutes before the event! Am sure it doesn’t need to be that stressful! Doges palace itself was interesting and included a museum entry free and a walk through the prisons and across the bridge of sighs. They have a cafe but you cant sit and drink at the tables you have to eat as well.
Valentina was incredible. Smart, knowledgeable, funny, accommodating. She answered off topic questions with ease, went the extra mile to find information for her clients, was super friendly, spoke perfect and intelligible English which we could clearly hear the whole time. Valentina didn’t point and quote facts she told stories. It was very clear that she has a deep passion for the history and culture of her home and wants to share it. Book this tour, you won’t just learn, you’ll understand. If I had a gripe, or complaint, it would be that we skipped over a couple rooms (including the armory, which was my personal favorite.) but this is understandable because there is a LOT to see and not a lot of time to see it. Thankfully, when the tour completes you have the option to stay and see the armory and the prison for yourself, and the stories and information given on the tour helped to contextualize what we saw on the self guided tour. We ended the day with the bell tower. DO NOT MISS the bell tower. It as a comfortable quick elevator to the top with the best views.
