The activity mainly consists of watching a PowerPoint presentation, commented in French and English by the organizer. Afterward, we go outside to see the dog search for truffles that had just been buried by the man with the dog (barely 10-15 minutes and very "fake") and to finish, there is a "tasting" of products with really tiny portions. And it costs 32 euros per person. The gentleman who is giving the presentation is very particular: he tries to be funny by making fun of others. It is a style. There were four of us: two found it too annoying and the other two found it so annoying that it became funny, and they had a good time. And we learned a few things about truffles that we did not know.

Ce ton peut surprendre : certains apprécient cette approche conviviale, d’autres y sont moins sensibles. Concernant la démonstration de cavage, il s’agit bien d’une mise en situation pédagogique avec notre chien Taïga, pensée pour permettre à chacun de comprendre concrètement son travail et les mécanismes de recherche de la truffe. Notre objectif est de partager un métier, ses gestes et ses réalités, dans un temps adapté à une découverte. La formule dégustation est conçue comme une initiation gourmande, avec plusieurs bouchées autour de la truffe et des produits travaillés par nos chefs. Peut-être auriez-vous davantage apprécié notre formule avec démonstration suivie d’un déjeuner 100 % truffe au restaurant, où toute notre cuisine faite maison permet une immersion plus approfondie dans notre univers. This was a highlight of our trip! Yeah, the proprietor buries truffles ahead of time for the dog to find but it is not always season for hunting. Upon entering, you find yourself in a small but very full area of everything truffle. There is a dining room as well as an outdoor eating area. We first had a presentation about truffles that was interesting. We then went out and saw Talia the Lagotto in action at work. Very cool to see her interact with her human. Afterward we were presented with a FABULOUS lunch. I won't spoil it for you, you'll find out when you're eating when you get there.

What a fun way to spend an afternoon and learn about truffles and truffle hunting especially the terrific dog who loves her job! She is so clever. Highly recommend!
Very pleasant time spent with Nicolas and his dog Taiga! We learn a lot, the bond between them is magical, and the humor of the master is the little cherry on the cake (not to say truffle) very appreciable! The meal lived up to expectations , tasty and elaborate, and above all well stocked in truffles! We had a great time.

We learned so much about truffles. Nicholas is a very effective and entertaining teacher. And, Taiga, the truffle dog is a star. Their truffle hunting demo was a lot of fun. The experience ends with delicious tastings of truffle products. Totally worth it.
Nicholas was quite a character and very entertaining! We appreciated that he spoke so many languages. His dog was awesome! Although they both did a fantastic job, it might have been more fun to go a bit deeper into the woods to hunt the truffles. The tasting at the end was great, and they have plenty of truffle products for sale. We learned SO much about truffles as Nicholas is very knowledgeable. You will need a car or spend 33€ to Uber to the location.
During our visit to the Thousand Truffles House, we greatly appreciated the enchanting setting and the richness of the experience. On the other hand, the excessive size of the group and the way the visit was conducted in French and English somewhat hampered the flow of explanations. The introduction, in particular, seemed a little too long — especially for children.

Il est vrai que pour tout dévoiler des secrets bien gardés de la truffe, un petit détour par la théorie est indispensable. Nicolas s’efforce de transmettre ces connaissances avec humour et passion, même si l’envie d’aller directement dans le bois est bien compréhensible. La truffe, dans tous ses états, mérite qu’on lui consacre quelques explications avant de partir à sa recherche… Nous prenons bonne note de votre remarque sur la taille du groupe et le bilinguisme de la visite – deux éléments que nous essayons d’ajuster au mieux selon les périodes et les visiteurs. Au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau, peut-être lors d’une autre saison truffée de surprises !
This was one of the best afternoons we have spent in France. From the knowledgeable Truffle Hunters explanations, both in English and French, his quick wit and humor, and of course the star of the tour, Millie, the truffle dog searching and finding truffles on the grounds. After a wonderful presentation, we experienced a great 3 course truffle lunch, paired with wines for each course. The next stop was wine tasting at Chateau de Pommard for a private wine tasting. All part of the "Tuffle Lunch Experience." This should be a must for anyone visiting the Beaune-Pommard area. Carolyn and Tom, Virginia, USA
