Excellent local food tour in Chengdu

Really interesting tour of local food spots in Chengdu. Opened my eyes and taste buds to a precarious food culture. Away from the designer shops and western chains of upmarket Chengdu, Jay took me to local restaurants specializing, often, in a single dish made perfectly. He has a deep understanding of broader changes happening in China and the region. An enriching few hours which will leave you very satisfied. I would highly recommend.

Foodie tour with cooking lesson in Chengdu, China

My tour ended up being a private tour with Ann and Ken. They brought me to a wonderful noodle shop, then to a local wet market. We also tried some dumplings and a numbing fried bread. We ended the evening at a local chefs home for a cooking lesson. I enjoyed the time spent with the local and personal experience. I would reccommend this tour for a quick foodie experience, and to get away from the "hot pot experience."
