8:00 AM - Meet your private tour guide at the port and start your journey to explore Goa's highlights.
9:00 AM - Visit the iconic Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for housing the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. Admire the Baroque architecture and the stunning altars inside the church.
10:00 AM - Head to the beautiful Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia, and marvel at its Portuguese-Gothic architecture and the gilded altars. The cathedral is also home to the famous Golden Bell, one of the largest in the world.
11:00 AM - Proceed to the picturesque Fontainhas, the Latin Quarter of Panaji, to witness the colorful Portuguese-style houses, winding streets, and charming old-world charm. The neighborhood is a photographer's delight, with its narrow alleys and quaint balconies.
12:00 PM - Enjoy a traditional Goan lunch at a local restaurant, where you can try the famous fish curry rice and prawn fry, along with other local delicacies.
1:00 PM - Visit the bustling Panaji market, located near the Mandovi River, to experience the local culture and cuisine. You can taste the famous Goan sweet called Bebinca, along with other snacks and sweets.
2:00 PM - Drive to the impressive Fort Aguada, built in the 17th century by the Portuguese to protect Goa from foreign invasions. The fort offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding landscape.
3:00 PM - Take a leisurely stroll along the Baga Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Goa, and watch the sunset over the horizon.
4:00 PM - Return to the port to catch your cruise ship, marking the end of your Goa day tour shore excursion program.

Pickup Locations & Times
Pickup is available from Mormugao Port for cruise passengers. Please provide your cruise ship name, arrival time, and the names of all travelers at least 3 days before the tour. Upon disembarkation, walk approximately 150–200 steps to the immigration/disembarkation counter. After completing the required formalities, proceed outside the terminal, where our guide/representative will be waiting with a name placard displaying the lead traveler's name. Driver and guide contact details will be shared one day prior to the tour.

The tour guide had weak English and was not particularly knowledgeable of the area. They added a stop we did not request. On the positive, they adapted to our time restraints. Please note, the guide was added with tour operator not via viatour.

We’re sorry the guiding experience did not fully meet your expectations. This was a last-minute booking, and as mentioned in our messages, guide availability and language fluency were subject to who was still available on the day. There was also a large cruise call in Goa, and many of the most senior guides had already been booked well in advance. Regarding the additional stop, guides sometimes suggest nearby points of interest based on timing or routing, but this should always be discussed with guests first. We will reinforce this with our team to ensure clearer communication before making any adjustments to the plan. We also share the guide and driver contact details in advance and encourage guests to message us immediately during the tour if anything is not meeting expectations. While we always take feedback seriously afterward, it is much easier for us to improve the experience in real time when we are informed on the day. We truly appreciate your visit and your constructive comments, which help us improve.
