The Plaza de San Jaime in Barcelona is one of the main, oldest and most representative squares of Barcelona. It is located in the Gothic Quarter (Old Town district). Located in the center of the city, where the nucleus of the ancient Barcino was, it houses the Palace of the Catalan Generalitat and the headquarters of the City Council of Barcelona or Casa de la Ciudad.
The church of Santa Maria del Mar is a minor basilica located in the city of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was built between 1329 and 1383. Since June 3, 1931, it has been cataloged as an Asset of Cultural Interest.
The Plaza de San Felipe Neri is a unique square in Barcelona, which is named after the homonymous church of baroque style that presides over it. It is in the Gothic Quarter, in the district of Ciudad Vieja, and more specifically in the neighborhood of Call and San Felipe Neri.
We will walk through several areas of the Gothic quarter to visit two ancient ruins of the Roman wall. Also the school of Pablo Picasso and other attractions of this neighborhood.
The Palacio Real Mayor de Barcelona was a former royal residence in Spain that was located in the center of the Gothic quarter, in the Plaza del Rey. It was the residence of the counts of Barcelona and later of the kings of the Crown of Aragon.
