Below expectations! Didn’t visit any proper lemon farm and no mention of olive oil. The ad I saw was from @youritalianbestie and she showed a more immersive experience with tasting sessions and info about how to pick the lemons..etc
Pepe was a great guide and had a lot of patience for questions from the tour participants. It is a lot of walking and the tour lasted about 3 hours, longer than we expected. But, we enjoyed tasting local products and seeing other parts of Sorrento aside from just the tourist area. It was cool to meet the producers of local cheese and limoncello.
This was a great way to orientate ourselves at the start of our stay in Sorrento. Pepe was such a great guide and very passionate about his home town. We particularly enjoyed the food and drink that we had at the local shop - bellissimo! Pepe was so kind, he didn’t rush us at all and let us take our time as we explored the streets of Sorrento. Thank you Pepe
This was, hands down, the BEST tour we have done! Our SENSATIONAL guide, Peppe was charming, informative and incredibly patient! He took us to visit unexpected treasures that showed us a whole new and stunning part of Sorrento, among the locals. Cannot recommend this tour highly enough 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Grazie Mille Peppe 🍷🍋🤌🏻
No leamon farm The leamonchello tasting is at a store in the on the main strip Cheese was at a normal deli Spent more time at church than anywhere else
We were disappointed with this tour. We were expecting a tour of a lemon farm and Limoncello tasting. However, this was more of a walking tour of Sorrento. Although it was very informative, we spent 2 1/2 hours walking through the downtown area (not what we were hoping for). Our tour guide also took us into quite a few random stores which was odd. We only spent 20 minutes at the lemon garden.
Brilliant just brilliant. We were not initially sure whether a guided tour would be for us but this has changed our opinions for sure, it was worth every penny. Seeing the town from locals' viewpoint and meeting people and artisan crafters that we wouldn't have even known existed if we had not been taken around some of the smaller roads and away from the main thoroughfare. Our guide, Nino, really helped bring the town and architecture to life showing us things that we would have just walked by and not even noticed otherwise. As for the cheese, meat, wine, and oil tasting, ...wow probably the tastiest food we had all holiday! One to be aware of though is that there is a good amount of walking so if you are not great at your feat this particular tour may not be for you
Alessandra was an amazing tour guide. The stops along the tour were things we would not have found on our own.
The train was delayed due to flooding and we asked if we could push the tour back an hour, do the tour on our own unguided, come back the next day or get a refund. No to all.
Today we went on the oil, cheese and lemon tour with a wonderful guide, Antonino. I expected just to taste some local products, which we did. What was even more interesting was the history and traditions of Sorrento that Antonino explained to us all along the way. I learned so much about this lovely town. Antonino was a great storyteller and a wealth of information. On a side note, my husband and I missed the beginning of the tour due to a miscommunication on the starting time. When I called the office and found out the tour had qlready left, the office reached out to Antonino and I couldn't believe but HE CAME BACK FOR US! and he still took us through everything we had missed in the first 15 minutes without ever making us feel bad for inconveniencing him. His kindness was truly appreciated.
