Itinerary
Day 1: Huaraz (3,100 m) – Chavín de Huántar (3,180 m) – Return to Huaraz Pick-up between 8:30–9:00 a.m. and departure to the Temple of Chavín, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way we pass Recuay, Ticapampa, Cátac, and stop at the scenic Laguna Querococha (3,980 m) and the Cahuish Tunnel (4,516 m) before descending into the Conchucos Valley. In Chavín de Huántar, we visit the Archaeological Monument with its ceremonial plazas, galleries, and the famous Lanzón de Chavín, as well as the National Museum, which houses artifacts such as ceramics, strombus shells, and the Tello Obelisk. Return to Huaraz around 5:30 p.m.
