Discover Egypt 8-Days Cairo, Nile Cruise, Abu Simbel and Alexandria From Cairo

The tour guides Rocky and Abbas were phenomenal. Very caring and genuine people who assisted with everything and kept us informed about everything. Heba the organiser was kind and very responsive at anytime and always accommodated any changes I needed to make. Tour was phenomenal and the cruise was excellent. Drivers and vans were amazing.

The hardest part of this was to find the correct cruise to review, so I put the exact name in the title. We travelled with Discover Egypt on the MS Tulip . All the cruise boats use a similar route from Luxor to Aswan and back in a week . There is a lot to see and do , quite an active trip with early starts and lots of fantastic temples/ monuments/ tombs to see, handily our phones these days give a name of where the photo is taken, very useful when trying to remember. We had a guide; Mohamed, for the whole time, he is a trained Egyptologist and had an extensive knowledge of all we saw, plus other random questions we threw at him during the trip. He also accompanied us round markets etc to buy souvenirs, very handy as nothing in Egypt has a price label on it! There were about 18 English travellers on board we all got on well, then the others on board were a mix of Americans, Italians , Koreans, very multi cultural. I mentioned Mohamed,our guide as being a star, but in fact all the staff on board were so lovely and helpful. Even the chef baked a birthday cake for my birthday and his staff grouped out of the galley banging tambourines and singing, so I wouldn’t forget! Our cabin clean and tidy with a new towel sculpture each day. The only problem I didn’t take much sterling cash with me for tips. Hard currency dollars, euros sterling are most welcome as the Egyptian pound is under a bit of pressure. We went on the big trip to Abu Simbel and didn’t regret the coach trip when we saw sunrise over the desert and then the magnificent Temple. We had a week in Hurgada afterwards to relax . In January the sun was out each day , temperatures were low twenties. My joy was sitting out on the top deck of the boat watching the rural life of Egypt drift by and bird spotting. Herons and egrets galore with kingfishers and falcons , gulls and other small wading birds , loved it.

We had a great time in Egypt. Nile cruise and tours - fun, educational and worthwhile. History in abundance. Mohamed was a great host and tour guide. He made the whole trip fun. Always willing to help where needed. Heba coordinated well with tour guides. They were always on time and kept us posted all activities. They were willing adjust tour to fit schedules and travel arrangements. Thanks: Heba, Mohamed, Ahmed, Tarek et all Highly recommended.

This Nile River cruise was an amazing experience that you must try if in Egypt our Tour Guide Walid was extremely knowledgeable about all Thai gas Egypt and was extremely helpful for anything that may have come up during our time together this was A 10 out 10 tour guide and tour I highly recommend

We chose to see as much of Egypt as we could and Egypt Gift Tours was just perfect to support us. Heba is very professional and attentive, never failing to respond to our requests. She also has a deep knowledge of the routes and tour options offered, and should certainly be consulted about the decisions to be made in the trip planning phase. We also hired some transfers with Egyp Gift Tours and all were punctual, despite the chaotic traffic in Cairo. It is worth mentioning that in times of Covid, when the PCR exam was necessary for international travel, Heba helped us in this part too, that is, the service we had was much more than a simple tourist agency. The best part was undoubtedly the journey between Aswan and Luxor, which included visits to Abu Simbel, Nubia Village and the famous cruise with several temples and balloon flight. At this stage we had the support of the guide Mostafa Abdo, who has an impeccable performance, speaks Portuguese very well (it makes the trip more confirtable to us as Brazilians), in addition to being very pleasant and dedicated. With him we had good classes in Egyptian history. On the part between Cairo and Alexandria we had the service of the guide Omima, very friendly and also with excellent command of Portuguese. In summary, we highly recommend the services of Egypt Tours, without a doubt they were responsible for the success of our experience in Egypt.

Me and my mom enjoyed the trip so much, every minute of every day was amazing to say the least, great cruise with great people, great and interesting activities packed with lots of interesting, historical places to visit. Also hot air balloon flight really worth it, though need to wake up very early, but with all the breathtaking views from the balloon - you are not going to regret it at all.

Heba Haggag, Egypt Gift Tours Went as a couple, just my wife and I on the Viator Discover Egypt 8-days Cairo, Nile Cruise, Abu Simbel & Alexandria tour. Excellent value on this tour, very professionally put together by Heba Haggag, excellent communication and a great amount of help from her every step of the way, making certain we were in contact with our private driver and guides every day. We had a private guide for just the two of us on most of the tours, along with a private car and driver. Another American couple joined us for some of the tour stops along the Nile but it never felt too crowded (with the exception of the uncomfortable almost-4-hour-each-way mini-bus ride from Aswan to Abu Simbel and back- but the only way to avoid that was to fly, which didn’t seem worth the effort or time savings). We had the opportunity to see all the major historically and culturally significant sights at every stop. Our cruise boat was older and the cabin a little tired-looking but we really didn’t really care about that on this trip, we just needed a clean room and bathroom and a comfortable bed. If you want higher-end or the highest-end cruise boat, just ask Heba, she can set it up for you. But our main focus on this, our first trip to Egypt was seeing as much as we could of the sites and learning the culture and history of this ancient land in only 8 days. For the price we paid and the value we received with one-on-one personal private guides I don’t know how it could’ve been set up any better for us. As importantly as the organization of the trip itself, Heba became a lifesaver for us when the COVID testing provider the Steigenberger hotel in Luxor set up for us a few days before our flight back home refused to send us our test results. We had already left Luxor and gone back to Cairo for the final two days of our trip and the testing provider- who had promised to have our test results to us by 1pm- began giving us the silent treatment and runaround, saying we didn’t pay for the correct type of test, we needed to pay more money, they couldn’t get the test results to us that they promised etc etc. This was going to jeopardize our flights home the following day. I asked Heba to help and it took her three hours of phone calls, waiting on hold, getting passed around to every member of the Steigenberger Luxor staff, getting ghosted by the testing facility and finally talking to the Steigenberger hotel manager. She was so upset and fighting so hard for us they pushed her to the verge of tears after hours of getting nowhere. Finally around 8pm she was able to get our test results. I can’t stress enough how helpful Heba was for us in making sure we were able to get home and how much we appreciated her efforts. Thank you Heba! We will definitely return to Egypt and when we do we won’t use anyone but Heba as our tour organizer!

Without mr Ismail Haroun this trip was impossible. This gentleman (guide) mr Ismail have a thorough knowledge about the history of the past specially about the temples and the way he explains and command in English make us possible to understand I recommend him to all my family and friend and my co worker for him if they come to Egypt contact him.

Our tour guide Ishmail Haroun was very knowledgeable, educated, patient, pleasant and very helpful. He goes above and beyond . He is definitely an asset to the tourist industry. I would highly recommend him if ever you visit Egypt.

Ismail Haroun was the best tour guide for a Nile River Cruise. We had some really fun days and visited the most important sights. Ismail has an amazing knowledge about ancient Egyptian history and mythology. He’s very well organised and takes care if everything. Really laughed a lot with him, as he as a great humour. Would totally recommend and looking forward to do a tour with him again soon!
