Embark on a nostalgic journey through Bangalore's rich history. This 4-5 hour walking tour takes you through iconic landmarks and you'll discover hidden stories and fascinating facts about MG Road, Tipu's Palace, Bangalore Fort, and KR Market. Get ready for a blend of culture, architecture, and vibrant city life. Comfortable shoes and a curious mind are all you need! MG Road (Mahatma Gandhi Road) in Bangalore is one of the city's most famous and bustling areas, offering a mix of commercial, cultural, and entertainment experiences. We start here and I will meet you at the entrance of the MG Road Metro Station. There is a statue of an Elephant at the entrance of the station which is where I will be meeting you.
We would walk down Brigade Road. We begin at Cauvery Emporium, explore the road's history and landmark buildings. Learn about the shops and much more as we walk down the alley. We then take the Metro Train to KR Market.
Proceed to Asia's largest flower market. Experience vibrant colors and scents, a typical local Indian market's hustle and bustle, get to know how a typical day is for a local vendor The market itself is steeped in history, having been established during the British era. You'll see the colonial architecture of the market building and nearby structures, giving you a glimpse into Bangalore's past. The Bangalore Fort, a historic site that dates back to the Kempe Gowda era. It's small but a significant fort with lot of history
The Kote Venkataraman Temple one of the oldest temple in Bangalore was built in the early 17th century during the reign of the Mysore Wodeyars. The temple is a classic example of Dravidian architecture

I am from Bengaluru, born and bred in this city known for posh cars, beautiful girls, IT, greenery and diversity. However, what Anand showed me was completely different to what I already knew. Thanks to Anand for not only being a brilliant tour guide to my friend, my son and me, for also for being a great company to tour with. Anand knows the history of every place in Bengaluru thoroughly, he has done a fantastic research and homework on all the places. He fondly and passionately speaks about the tales of the garden city which are backed up with facts and evidences from that of the past. Anand’s sense of humor makes the whole experience even better, his knowledge about the best restaurants that would serve you the local delicacies, the slang, the lingo, reasonable shopping centers and the transport connections from place to place is phenomenal! This walking tour was great. To not get too tired the guide used the subway which was an interesting experience. The visits were very informative. This allowed me to understand the history of Bengalore.

We had a great 5 hours walk through MG road shopping streets and then trough KR Market, Bangalore Fort and Tippu Sultan Summerpalace. Anand is a great guide, friendly, very fluent in English language and knows the history of Bangalore.

We just had a tour with Anand on our first day in Bangalore. It was a great way to get our bearings. The itinerary was as shown and we enjoyed getting a flavour of Brigade Rd, Sultan Tipur’s Summer residence, Bangalore fort and KR flower market. No doubt if we did this alone, we would have only seen one or two sights. Anand was professional, knowledgeable and friendly, and made a special effort to make it interesting for our jet-lagged 8 year old, which we appreciated. Highly recommend!

Anand gave us a wonderful tour through the history of the city. He was very accommodating and is doing good work capturing and disseminating information on the city and it's history. Some suggestions would be to use a folder to carry the documents and maybe provide a short printout in multiple languages if possible. Overall good experience.
